When Laurence and Sonny first arrived in Havenmill and established Longtail
Group, the company had not yet caught the attention of the major business figures in the city. After all, it was a newly founded company that had not yet produced any notable achievements.
No one paid them any particular attention.
Later, Longtail Group grew larger and stronger, bursting into the circle of Havenmill's business elite like a dark horse. It became impossible to ignore, and many people began investigating the backgrounds of Laurence and Sonny.
However, most people merely made inquiries. They did not resort to surveillance. The only ones who enjoyed following them around were members of the Longbottom family.
"They've been tailing us the whole way."
Jane said, “They've been following us all this time, and you're only beating them up now? You should've thrown sacks over their heads long ago."
Laurence chuckled. "If we deal with them now, there'll be a good show tonight. I know you two like drama. Since you've come all this way, I should at least arrange some entertainment to keep you from getting bored."
Lilian's eyes lit up immediately. “Tonight? I haven't stretched my muscles in a long time. If there's a good show tonight, I want to enjoy it properly! How many people are coming? Please let me relieve some boredom. None of you will need to lift a finger."
Everyone was speechless.
Laurence laughed. "Alright, then I'll let you have some fun. I don't know exactly how many people will come, but I estimate at least several dozen. Very few people can actually get into my place. If dozens of them come, more than half will probably get stopped before they even make it halfway."
His residence had the highest level of security in all of Havenmill. Countless people had tried to break in, only to fail along the way. Even if someone got lucky enough to climb over the walls and avoid the various traps, they would eventually be beaten senseless by the bodyguards and never even reach the main house.
"Tonight, we'll let them all in. Once they're inside, we'll shut the doors and beat them all!"
"Since Master wants to have some fun, then we'll give them a proper show tonight.” First, they would disable the traps and allow the Longbottom family's assassins to slip into the estate smoothly. Then they would close the gates and deal with them. Just thinking about it was satisfying.
Laurence thought that Lilian's methods of relieving boredom were worth learning.
Jane chimed in, "Looks like I can only watch."
She would not be able to participate.
Although she was quite capable in a fight, she was no match for true martial artists. Nor did she know how to use poison. To avoid becoming a burden, all she could do was watch.
Lilian kindly suggested, "Once I've knocked them all to the ground, you can join in. Whether you want to punch them, kick them, or skin them alive, that's entirely up to you.
"Laurence, do you have any itching powder? Prepare several large bags of it. Once we've subdued them, sprinkle it all over them and let them itch themselves to death."
The itching powder would not kill them, but it would make them scratch frantically until their skin was torn apart. In some ways, it was more unbearable than death.
"Let's add some muscle relaxant. That way, they'll itch terribly but won't have the strength to scratch. That experience will definitely be unforgettable.”
Noelle glanced at Laurence without saying a word.
Clearly, Laurence had learned how to torment people directly from Lilian.
Jane gave Lilian and Laurence a thumbs-up.
Inwardly, she was grateful she was not their enemy. Otherwise, she probably would not even know how she had died. Well, actually, she would know. She would have been tortured to death.
While Laurence escorted Jane and Lilian home, Tony received several photographs. They had been taken by the people Manny had sent to follow Laurence and were forwarded to him for inspection.
The moment Tony saw the photographs, his expression changed.
Susan noticed and asked, "Who sent you what? What could possibly be so alarming that it made you lose composure like that?"
Tony was ruthless. Although he had never officially become the head of the Longbottom family, during his years as the acting head, no one had dared challenge him. He possessed far more authority than Manny.
Usually, he was the one causing others to lose their composure. Very few people were capable of making him do the same.
