After a moment of silence, Noelle suddenly said, "Mr. Laurence, Misty likes you."
She could tell that. Additionally, Misty was jealous of her.
She could not stand seeing Noelle by Laurence's side.
It was not just Misty. Many people envied Noelle for being able to stay with Laurence. Even though they did not know what he looked like, perhaps it was because his status and influence kept growing.
Thus, they envied her.
Now, even the elders of the Longbottom family were saying she was not worthy of him.
Whether she was worthy or not was not up to them.
At first, Noelle had been bothered by people saying she was not good enough for Laurence, but after thinking things through over the past two days, she no longer cared what others thought.
As Jane said, as long as Laurence did not mind, no one else's opinion mattered. It was Laurence she would be spending her life with, not anyone else.
Furthermore, everyone Laurence considered family liked her and hoped that she and Laurence would end up together.
“I'll have HR recruit a male secretary and replace Ms. Tindall. She was once Manny's secretary. I don't take someone else's leftovers."
Laurence continued, "Ms. Tindall isn't the only woman who likes me. I don't like them back, so it doesn't matter whether they like me or not. Besides, I don't like having female secretaries."
Both he and Sonny used male secretaries.
It was probably because they had grown up seeing their elders do the same.
Ben, Remy, and Zachary all used male secretaries. They were all exceptionally charismatic. If they hired female secretaries, it would be easy for those women to fall for them.
Although they would never betray their wives, constantly having admirers pursuing them would still affect their marriages.

He looked at Noelle and said, "Noelle, no one except me has the authority to order you around. If anyone else tells you to do something, ignore them. They have no right to command you."
Noelle said, "I know. I didn't move when she called me."
She knew how to read the situation.
Misty would not be around for long, and she was one of Manny's people. There was no way Noelle would let herself be ordered around by her.
If it were someone Laurence regularly worked with and they genuinely needed her help, she would lend a hand.
However, those people rarely came to her for work-related matters. The only time they sought her out was when Laurence was in a bad mood and buried himself in work until everyone beneath him suffered.
Those executives were incredibly efficient once they got into the zone, but the lower-level employees could not keep up with the pace and would have to work overtime.
Occasional overtime was fine, but working late every day was exhausting.
Thus, they came to her for help.
At Longtail Group, everyone knew that Noelle was not an employee, yet her position was irreplaceable. Whenever Laurence got angry, only Noelle and Sonny could calm him down.
However, Sonny was not always at the office and could not help in an emergency. Only Noelle was by Laurence's side every day.

"Mr. Laurence, you continue working. I'll finish tidying up."
Noelle returned to reorganizing the office for Laurence.
Laurence nodded and immersed himself in the mountain of work.
Since he decided not to attend any business dinners, the moment the office hours were over, he left the company with Noelle and his team of bodyguards.
Misty stood outside the office building, watching the convoy leave. Her expression was deep, impossible to tell what she was thinking.
