Jane also said, "Laurence and the rest of us have told her countless times, but she won't listen."
Her tone was exasperated.
Lilian nodded.
Noelle said, “I'm just used to calling him that. It's very difficult to change.”
"No matter how difficult it is, you still have to. In the future, when you marry Laurence, you'll become the lady of the Longbottom family. If people hear you calling him with an honorific, where would your dignity as the lady of the house be? Others will think you're just his servant."
Serenity added, "In private, when it's just the two of you, you can call him 'Mr.' or however you like, but in front of outsiders, you should call him by his name."
Noelle thought about it before nodding. "I'll listen to you."
Jane pretended to be jealous. "Your master and I tried persuading you countless times, but you had always refused. Yet Serenity only had to say it once for you to agree. Lilian and I are going to be jealous."
Serenity affectionately linked arms with Noelle and laughed. “Noelle is just closer to me. You two can keep being jealous.”

Noelle grew even more embarrassed at the teasing, her blush deepening.

Jane deliberately changed the subject to save Noelle from the urge to disappear.
Noelle was her future daughter-in-law, so she was naturally protective.
Noelle replied, "Tony brought several elders from the family to the company. The first thing they asked was when Mr. Laurence would plan a banquet. They said that every head of the household hosts a banquet for relatives, friends, and business elites after assuming headship.
"Mr. Laurence said he would arrange
it later. Then, they reminded him that he should get married and have children soon. They said he's the only person left in the direct lineage, so he carries the responsibility of continuing the bloodline.
"They brought many photos of young women and asked him to look through them and choose one MrLaurence took a look and disliked that they were all wearing makeup, so their true appearances couldn't be seen. He refused.
“They still wanted to arrange more, but Mr. Laurence told them he already had feelings for me. He said he wanted to marry me and make me the lady of the family, but they said that I was worthless and unworthy of him.”
Noelle's expression remained calm as she repeated what happened, as if she were talking about someone who had nothing to do with her.
This composure made the elders admire her even more.
"And what did Laurence say? Did he defend you?"
Lilian asked, "If he didn't, I'm going back inside right now to beat him up."
Noelle quickly said, "He defended me. How could he possibly not?"
She told them everything Laurence had said at the time.
Serenity and the others felt satisfied with what they heard.
Although Laurence was their family, they would not accept him becoming the type of man who failed to stand up for his own wife.
A wife represented a man's dignity. A man who refused to protect his wife was no

If someone humiliated your wife, that was equivalent to an insult directed at you.
