After being scolded by Andy, Nate was still unconvinced.
He muttered, "Everly's client obviously looks like an outstanding man. I was jealous. He's the first man I've seen who's better-looking than me.
"There's also the way Everly looks down on everyone. I can't stand it. If she hadn't been lucky enough to be born into the Flemming family, she would be nothing.
"Who does she think she is? She only gets to be so arrogant because she was born a Flemming, and the Flemmings just happen to have only one child."
Andy scolded his son, “You're being narrow-minded and can't see Everly's strengths. Although she's a woman, she was raised personally by her grandfather, so she's more than capable. Even if Old Mr. Flemming steps down, she can hold Flemming Group up all by herself.
"That's right. She has the capital to be arrogant, but do you? All you know is to cause trouble. I told you to please Everly, coax her, and cater to her every whim. Even if she rejects you, you just have to keep pursuing.
"Don't you understand that love grows with time? How do you usually chase after girls? Don't you have plenty of girlfriends? You have so much experience, but you offended Everly the moment you met her."
Andy was furious with his son.
Nate pouted.
He could not help it. The moment he saw Sonny, his jealousy was triggered, and he impulsively said those things.
Now, he had offended Everly.
"Tomorrow, prepare another gift for her. Whether she agrees to see you or not, you have to show up and apologize to her. You have to make use of your persistence. As long as you keep at it, she'll fall for you one day.
"Better yet, find a way to get her pregnant. Once she's pregnant, you'll have a chance to marry into the Flemming family. Old Mr. Flemming wants a great- grandchild and is hoping Everly will have children soon to carry on the family line.
"Remember, if you get the chance to have a child with Everly, don't worry about whose surname the children take. Let them take the Flemming name. The family has very few descendants, so you two should have several children.
"It doesn't matter if they're girls or boys. Just have as many as possible. Whoever takes over Flemming Group in the future, they'll be your children. Do you think our family would possibly lose out?"
Andy was suggesting that his son find a way to get Everly pregnant.
Although Everly dressed somewhat androgynously, she was actually quite attractive the more one looked at her. Thinking of the Flemming family's enormous fortune, Nate listened to his father's idea and nodded.
The problem was, Everly was not even willing to spend time with him. Trying to get her pregnant would be extremely difficult unless he drugged her.
However, if he did that, what if Everly refused to acknowledge what happened after she woke up and reported him?
Well, he could not rush this.
The best method was still to make Everly fall in love with him.
Once she loved him, everything else would be a piece of cake.
Everly had no idea, nor did she want to know, what the father and son were discussing.
She already said that she did not want to go on blind dates. No matter who the introducer was, she would not meet the man. If someone came to harass her, she would have Sarah handle it.
As her grandfather had said, she was not even interested in a man as outstanding as Sonny. Why would she even cast a second glance at the wealthy young heirs of Clearfield?
She knew exactly what kind of intentions they had.
After entering the hotel, Everly found Sonny in the lounge.
When Sonny saw her enter, he stood up. Everly said apologetically, "I'm really sorry about what happened, Mr. Brown. You were innocently dragged into it and mocked because of me. I didn't expect something like this to happen."
Sonny smiled and said, "It's fine, I understand Mr. Tatum was probably jealous of how outstanding I am. He's jealous because you. treated me so courteously while being so cold and indifferent toward him."
It was not the first time someone had been jealous and resentful toward him like
that.
Sonny was already used to it.
"However, Ms. Flemming, do you mind if I say a few words?"
Everly gestured for him to walk upstairs with her and said, "Please speak your mind,
Mr. Brown. I won't get angry."
"Then I'll say my two cents. If all the
men your relatives introduce to you are like Mr. Tatum, I suggest you reject them firmly. Don't feel embarrassed just because they re Introduced by relatives.
"After all, this concerns your life. You can't afford to be careless."
Inwardly, he was grumbling, 'Does Everly's uncle even know what kind of men he's introducing to her?
'His niece is so outstanding and has such excellent qualities, yet he actually introduced someone like Nate to her. It seems her maternal relatives aren't exactly good people.'
He felt somewhat sorry for Everly.
