The Olsen household was thick with tension. Mr. Olsen frowned deeply, utterly baffled by his son's attitude. "Your sister has been wronged," he said, his voice heavy with confusion. "You can't just ignore it, can you?"

Ellis's mother quickly intervened, trying to smooth things over. "Is it because you are too busy? Recently, Ellis has been helping Sam manage the company... Let's not distract him..."

Mr. Olsen nodded slowly, then added sternly, "That young Miss Davis is from the Davis family. We have to show them some respect and let it be. But the one called Keera – she's too arrogant. She must pay a price for this!"

Christina's face lit up with barely concealed triumph. This was exactly what she wanted to hear. She opened her mouth to speak, but before she could utter a word, Ellis's cold voice cut through the air like a knife.

"You are not to touch Keera!"

Silence fell over the room like a heavy blanket. Mr. and Mrs. Olsen stared at their son, bewilderment written across their faces. Christina felt her victory slip through her fingers like sand.

"Ellis," she asked carefully, her voice trembling with suppressed anger, "is it because of Mary? Do you really have feelings for her?"

The mere mention of that name made Ellis's jaw tighten. A cold scoff escaped his lips as he tugged at his tie in irritation. "No," he said flatly.

He couldn't tell them the truth – that Keera was Uncle Olsen's daughter. What if Uncle Olsen didn't want to acknowledge his own child? So Ellis simply issued his command without explanation. The mention of Mary had soured his mood, and he turned and walked straight upstairs, leaving the three of them in stunned silence.

As the heir to the Olsen family, his presence commanded respect. Even after he disappeared into the corridor, his parents remained frozen for a long moment.

Then Ellis's mother broke the silence, her voice suddenly excited. "Ellis seems in a bad mood today... Christina, what were you saying about Mary just now? Could Ellis really have taken a fancy to that girl?" Her eyes sparkled with hope. "Ellis has been so clueless when it comes to relationships all these years. He's almost 28 now. If he really has taken a liking to her, we need to prepare and let them get married quickly!"

Mr. Olsen nodded eagerly. "That Mary girl is quite pretty. Even though her reputation isn't too good, but as for young people's affairs, we should respect them..."

As the two chatted and laughed, making plans for wedding dowries and heirloom bracelets, Christina's face slowly darkened like a storm cloud. Her fists clenched so tightly that her knuckles turned white.

"Dad, Mom, that Keera..." she tried again.

But Ellis's mother cut her off without a second thought. "Christina, since there's a relationship between Mary and your brother, and Keera is Mary's close friend, there might be some misunderstanding. Let's listen to your brother and just let it go this time."

Christina's jaw tightened until her teeth ached.

Mr. Olsen looked at her with the same dismissiveness. "Yes, your big brother's marriage is more important. The conflict between you young girls shouldn't be blown out of proportion... Let's just let bygones be bygones!"

Ellis's mother stood up, already distracted. "Hey, I wonder if I can prepare that heirloom bracelet a bit earlier? Where did I put it? Dear, come help me look for it..."

Mr. Olsen followed her lead, waving a hand at Christina. "Christina, stay for dinner before going back... Honey, what do you think? How much dowry should we give to that Davis girl?"

They chatted excitedly as they climbed the stairs, completely ignoring the daughter who was still standing there, burning with rage.

Christina watched them leave, her eyes narrowing with pure malice. Look at that... After all, she was just an adopted daughter – not their own flesh and blood. She had been beaten, and yet her parents chose to make her yield. And they never called her Tina or used any affectionate nickname. It was always "Christina, Christina..." It annoyed her so much!

Would she be treated this way if she were their biological daughter?

Furious beyond words, Christina turned and stormed out of the house. As soon as she reached her car, an assistant approached with a file. "Miss, here is Keera's information... She has kept a low profile for so many years without many friends."

Christina's eyes narrowed dangerously. She couldn't touch Mary, but when it came to Keera, she would regain her footing there. If word got out that she had been humiliated without retaliation, how could she, the heiress, maintain her position in the Olsen family? Would just anyone be able to bully her?

She carefully examined Keera's personal information. There was indeed no blackmail material... until suddenly, her eyes caught something. A cold, cruel smile spread across her face.

Meanwhile, Keira had just arrived at the South family villa. Lewis parked the car, and they both got out. As they approached the entrance, Keira was surprised to see Lewis's assistant standing at the door holding a suitcase.

She looked at Lewis quizzically. "Are you going on a business trip?"

"No," came the deep, light reply.

"Then what is this..." Keira asked, confused.

The assistant handed the suitcase to Lewis. "Mr. Horton, I've packed your daily necessities."

Lewis nodded, picked up the suitcase, and entered the villa without another word. Keira finally understood his intention. With a mixture of laughter and tears, she followed him inside. "Hold on, are you seriously planning to live here from now on?"

"Yes," Lewis answered without hesitation.

Keira shook her head ruefully. The housekeeper came out, looking at her with an indescribable expression. "Miss South..."

Keira raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"

The maid glanced upstairs, but before she could speak, Lewis's assistant blurted out, "Mr. Horton, as per your instructions, I've already changed the master bedroom's bed and bedding to brand new ones."

Keira was dumbfounded. She looked at Lewis doubtfully and heard the man explain lightly, "I don't want to sleep in a bed that others have slept in."

Keira immediately understood. That was the bed Keera and Howard had shared. She too hadn't been comfortable sleeping in it when she first arrived. At that time, it hadn't been convenient for her to make changes, so she had simply replaced the linens. But this man – he was more decisive. He switched out the entire bed.

They went upstairs to look at the new bed, and Lewis opened the suitcase, starting to put his things away in the closet. As he organized his clothes, he disdainfully threw out the garments that Howard had left behind – items Howard had never even worn. "Trash should stay in the trashcan," he ordered his assistant.

Keira remained silent. When she divorced Howard, she had already packed up and thrown out all of his belongings. The items here were just some unused men's daily necessities... Could this man truly not even tolerate that?

Keira shook her head. She found his behavior of marking territory childish but didn't stop him. It was quite an accomplishment that Lewis had restrained himself from coming to see her for a whole month and hadn't disrupted her plans. She let him do as he pleased with the master bedroom – even if he tore it down and remodeled it, it would be fine. She could live in the study.

She picked up the diary she had found under the tree yesterday and began to read through it.

The moment she saw the contents on the first page, Keira's pupils constricted!

Indeed, this notebook contained Keera's secrets!

The date on the first page was from ten years ago, and the content read...

## Reader's Impressions & Star Rating

Oh my goodness! This chapter was an emotional rollercoaster! Christina's resentment as the adopted daughter is truly heartbreaking, yet her thirst for revenge makes her a dangerous antagonist. Ellis's forceful protection of Keera raises so many questions – when will he finally reveal the truth about her identity? And Lewis moving into Keira's house and literally throwing out Howard's clothes? That is the most possessive, territorial, and honestly romantic thing I've ever seen! But the biggest shock is the diary – a secret from ten years ago is about to be revealed! What could it say? I'm on the edge of my seat!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Rating: 4.9 / 5 Stars**

## Next Chapter Prediction

Something extremely crucial happened ten years ago that Keera recorded in that diary. Given Christina's vengeful mood and the cruel smile she wore after finding something in Keera's file, I predict she's about to weaponize that information against Keira. Meanwhile, the diary's contents could reveal why Keera kept such a low profile all these years, or perhaps even connect to the mystery of her real family. And Lewis living under the same roof? Sparks are going to fly!
