When Mary glanced at the contract, her eyes caught a bizarre signature. "What was that name? Why did it look so familiar? Was that 'Divorcee'?" She blinked in utter disbelief. Who on earth would name themselves that? The cursive was so wild, like an artistic scribble—completely indecipherable! Shrugging it off, Mary simply scrawled her own name below the messy mark and followed Keira and Lewis inside the grand venue.

Once through the doors, Lewis quickly found a quiet corner, his eyes darting everywhere with hawk-like vigilance. After the incident where Keira was harmed, and with the mysterious kidnapping of Jodie South still fresh, he was terrified for Keira's safety. He wished he could glue himself to her leg—wherever she went, he would follow! So, he stayed on high alert, watching the crowd around her.

Keira and Mary, each holding a glass of champagne, drifted away from the noisy throng to a peaceful spot. Meanwhile, Christina and Victoria entered surrounded by a flock of admirers. Their gazes immediately landed on the two women.

Christina's voice dripped with resentment. "Do you see them? Those two act like they're above everyone just because of some collaboration! And my brother tells me to tolerate it! A small company's boss should be coming to us, right? Why should I hold back?"

Victoria, though younger, seemed more composed. She smiled slyly. "I've looked into this project. It turns out Keera Technology has developed advanced research that no one in the scientific community has surpassed yet. That's why our brother is asking you not to offend them."

Christina was taken aback. "They've got skills? Then what do I do? Just swallow my pride?"

Victoria laughed, taking a sip of red wine. "If you don't want to do that, there's another way."

"What way?" Christina leaned in eagerly.

"Keera Technology is too small to fit a big-time researcher, right? If we could poach that research bigwig to Olsen Group—or to your company—Keera Technology would be nothing but an empty shell!"

Christina's eyes lit up. "Right! Why didn't I think of that? How much salary can Keera offer him? I'll offer double... no, ten times!" She then asked, "Do you know how to contact their big-time researcher?"

Victoria grinned. "I do." She pulled out her phone. "I looked at the contract and took photos for you."

Christina eagerly flipped through the images, spotting the researcher's name: N. Must be a code name, she thought. But there was also an email and phone number. She typed the number into her phone and, after a moment's thought, sent a message: "Hello, I am from Olsen Group. Tonight is the signing banquet of Keera Technology, Olsen Group, and Davis Corporation. Are you here?"

On the couch nearby, Keira's phone vibrated. She picked it up, read the message from an unknown sender, and replied simply: "Yes."

Christina saw the reply and her eyes sparkled. She continued: "Are you N, the research personnel from Keera Technology? There's something I'd like to discuss with you in person. May I?"

Keira quickly replied: "Regarding?"

This research bigwig is certainly aloof, Christina thought. She sent another message: "Do you have any thoughts about job-hopping? Talent like you is really stifled at Keera Technology. Olsen Group welcomes you, and the compensation is negotiable."

Keira was surprised. She looked at the message, slightly startled, then realized this probably wasn't Ellis's idea. She raised an eyebrow and typed: "I don't have that plan."

Seeing this, Christina grew anxious. "Then you can start thinking about it now. Come to Olsen Group. We can provide you with the best stage to showcase your talents. Whatever position you want, you can have. Keera Technology will only limit your development. Do you know? The research findings you produce are worth billions. How much salary can Keera pay you? How many shares? They're even afraid to let you into the spotlight, and on the contract, they just use an 'N' to replace your name. Don't you want to make a name for yourself in your lifetime?"

Keira was intrigued. She smiled and replied: "I don't mind."

Christina was shocked. She stared at the message, completely dumbfounded. Then she glanced over at Keera in the distance, saw her lazily leaning against the wall, looking at her phone, and that makeup-free face was so dazzling under the light. What Christina hated was this attitude of hers. Even though Keera was just a middle-class woman, she dared to show authority in front of Christina, even hitting her... But Christina had to admit that Keera was indeed very pleasing to look at.

Christina tightened her jaw and sent another message: "Are you unwilling to leave because of your boss, Keera?"

No reply.

Christina continued: "She's dirty, and she's even keeping a gigolo. She doesn't care about you at all! Are you sure you want to continue this one-sided relationship?"

Keira didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She twitched the corner of her mouth, impressed by the other party's wild imagination, and simply replied: "Yes."

Christina was speechless. Was that man so in love with Keera? Had the research bigwig's brain gone bad? She decided to have a proper chat with the other party and sent another message: "Where are you? Let's meet on the second-floor balcony and talk."

Seeing this, Keira raised her eyebrows, wanting to know who this shameless poacher was. After all, this violated industry rules and had to be settled with Olsen Group. So she replied: "Alright."

After sending the message, Keira handed the phone to Mary. Mary read the chat history and was almost furious. "Come on, let's go see who has the nerve to be so shameless!"

The two women made their way to the second-floor balcony. Just as they arrived, a voice called out behind them. "I'm using this place. You go somewhere else."

Keira and Mary slowly turned around, only to see Christina bossily standing there. Keira frowned. Mary even chuckled. "This is a public space. What do you mean you're using it? Besides, we got here first!"

Upon hearing this, Christina sneered. "This hotel belongs to Olsen Group. If I say I'm using it, then I am using it! I've arranged to meet someone here, so you better leave quickly!"

Keira immediately raised her eyebrows. "You're the one who arranged a meeting?" she asked, her voice dripping with irony.
