The atmosphere in the South residence was thick enough to cut with a knife. Christina stood there, her eyes cold and sharp as she stared directly at Keira, demanding, "Who are you?"

Keira didn't flinch. She met Christina's gaze head-on, but before she could respond, Christina continued with a sneer, "You're Keera, aren't you? Before coming here, we had already thoroughly investigated your background."

But just as the tension was about to boil over, Mary suddenly rushed forward, throwing herself in front of Keira like a protective shield. "Christina, Victoria, that's enough! Believe it or not, if I tell Ellis about today's events, he won't let you off!"

Mary's brave words momentarily startled Christina. The younger woman hesitated, biting her lip as doubt flickered across her face. But then, like a snake seeing an opening, she lowered her gaze and delivered a poisoned dart, "Yesterday, Ellis seemed to have gone out. Why weren't you together on your wedding night?"

The remark hit its mark. Victoria's eyes lit up with malicious understanding. "Chris, are you serious?" She rarely called Christina by her full name, and Christina hated it—it reminded her that she had been taken into the Olsen family merely by chance, not by blood.

Christina nodded with smug satisfaction. "I saw it with my own eyes. After Ellis left last night, he never came back. Mary, what's going on with you and Ellis? It couldn't be that you're having a spat, right? You've just gotten married; it should be your honeymoon period..."

Then the poison flowed freely. "It's definitely because Ellis doesn't love her, what else could it be?" Christina continued mercilessly. "I always thought there was something wrong with their marriage. There are so many young ladies in Clance, why would Ellis end up with her of all people? She must have done something shameful to seduce him! Now she's having a child, hoping to rise above her station overnight. Mary, I advise you to recognize your place. Do you really think that by marrying Ellis, you can become our sister-in-law? Let me tell you, it's impossible! No one will accept you!"

Even Victoria, no saint herself, seemed taken aback by the cruelty. "Victoria, you can't just say that. She does have a status after all. We should still let her have some dignity."

But Christina scoffed. "Fine, she can apologize. As long as the apology is sincere enough, we can let her off the hook!"

Mary, bless her naive heart, still believed in peace. "Okay, I'll apologize on behalf of Keera. Whatever has happened, whoever is right or wrong, we're sorry. Can we live harmoniously from now on?"

Christina's laughter rang out like broken glass. "Mary, you can't be that naive. Is an apology over and done with just by saying it?"

Mary's brows furrowed. "Then what do you want? Or should I say, how much money do you want?"

The two sisters exchanged glances before Christina spoke again. "We don't need money."

"Then what do you want? A house? Jewelry? Or something else?" Mary blurted out, completely confused.

Christina said nothing, only smiled at Keira with predatory delight. Then she crossed her arms. "We won't make things difficult for our sister-in-law. Given your status and current pregnancy, let's have Keera kneel and apologize, and that'll be fine."

"Kneel?" Mary's voice turned sharp as a blade. "Impossible!"

The realization dawned on her face like a sunrise of fury. "You're not here to negotiate at all. You're just here to make things difficult for Keera!"

"Finally figured it out?" Christina admitted shamelessly. "Mary, as long as you stay out of today's events, we won't make things difficult for you in the Olsen family in the future. Otherwise, you should know, given the regard the Olsen family has for the two of us, you won't have good days ahead!"

Then she turned her venomous gaze back to Keira. "Kneel, and I'll forgive you. That's not enough, though—I want you to kneel longer for my sister because you hit her!"

Mary was trembling with rage, her face ashen. "I told you, it's impossible! Christina, you two better leave immediately, or else I will..."

Her words trailed off. Christina pounced on the hesitation. "Or else what? Call the police? You're now a member of the Olsen family as well. You should understand that even the police can't touch us."

Another wicked glance passed between the sisters. "Maybe she's planning to call Ellis?" Christina added mockingly. "Ellis? Will he answer her call? She ran away on her wedding night. Does she think she can command Ellis? Besides, if he were here, it's not a given he would take her side!"

"You..." Mary was speechless with fury.

"What about us?" Christina took a step forward, her chin raised arrogantly as she looked down on them. "Are you going to kneel? Beg for mercy! Don't force us to get physical!"

And then, the quietest person in the room finally spoke.

Keira, arms crossed, her posture unbreakable like steel, said only to Mary and Rebecca, "You two, go upstairs."

Mary didn't understand. But Rebecca immediately nodded, grabbing Mary and pulling her back.

"What are you doing? Keira will get hurt!" Mary struggled, panic rising in her voice.

"She won't..." Rebecca soothed her. "You must trust the benefactor's ability..."

"What ability?" Mary was frantic now. "I've grown up with her since we were kids. She really might get hurt!"

"Don't worry, she won't!" Rebecca continued pulling. "Don't go over there and be an obstruction!"

Mary stepped forward anyway, but then she saw it—Keira twisted her fists slightly, took a step forward, and faced Christina with cold fire in her eyes. "Quit the nonsense. Are you planning to come at me together, or one by one?"

Christina was dumbfounded.

Victoria clenched her jaw. "Leaving aside that you're going to face so many of us alone, do you really think even if you could beat them, you would dare take a move?"

"Exactly, we are the Olsen family! My sister and I are the most pampered daughters. If you lay a hand on us and it causes a big scene, the Olsen family will never let you off the hook!"

Keira tilted her head, utterly unimpressed. "You really talk too much. Are you just here to stir up trouble?"

Christina then turned her gaze toward Mrs. Jones. "Mrs. Jones, aren't you afraid? If she really dares to fight back, we definitely won't let your son or her daughter go back to school!"

Mrs. Jones stood tall. "Whether he goes to school or not isn't important. What matters is that I want George to know he's not a measurement of value! Miss South, do as you see fit! If worst comes to worst, I'll send my son abroad!"

Keira looked at Mrs. Jones and felt a warmth spread through her chest. She had found a friend worth keeping.

She nodded.

Meanwhile, outside the villa, a string of luxury cars entered one after another, drawing the attention of everyone in the neighborhood. Soon, the cars stopped right at the doorstep of the South residence. Bodyguards immediately got out and jogged around to open the car doors. The head of the procession was a Rolls-Royce. A handsome middle-aged man in a suit emerged—none other than Uncle Olsen. He looked toward the small villa, then back at the front door, only to find that the door was unexpectedly open...

## Reader's Impressions & Star Rating

Oh my goodness, what a breathtaking chapter! The tension was absolutely palpable, and I found myself holding my breath throughout the entire confrontation. Christina and Victoria are despicable villains—their cruelty knows no bounds, demanding a pregnant woman kneel! But Keira, our fearless heroine, completely stole the show. Her quiet, steely calm in the face of such bullying was nothing short of magnificent. And that moment when she asked if they wanted to fight her together or one by one? Chills! Absolute chills!

The character development here is fantastic. Mary's loyalty, Rebecca's faith in Keira, Mrs. Jones's courage—everyone is showing their true colors. And that cliffhanger ending with Uncle Olsen arriving at the open door? I'm on the edge of my seat!

## Next Chapter Prediction

I have a strong feeling that Uncle Olsen's arrival is going to flip the entire situation on its head. Will he witness the bullying his daughters are dishing out? And more importantly, will he recognize Keira for who she truly is? I predict a dramatic confrontation where Keira's true identity might be revealed, or at least hinted at, and those arrogant sisters are about to get a taste of their own medicine!
