In the very next second, Claire dropped a bombshell.
"If he's going to be this reluctant, maybe it would be better to let the police handle it..."
The moment Claire mentioned the police, Lillian knew she was issuing a threat.
But what could she do?
Her student was the one in the wrong, after all.
Lillian glared at Levi, utterly exasperated by his incompetence.
"Do you want to apologize properly or not?"
"Or would you prefer taking a trip down to the police station?"
Lillian had quietly done some digging on this freshman named Claire. The girl's temper was nowhere near as sweet as her appearance.
She had actually sent one of her high school classmates to jail before.
All over spreading rumors.
The lawyer Claire hired back then had been incredibly ruthless.
Lillian was genuinely terrified her student would suffer the same fate.
And she simply couldn't afford that kind of humiliation.
"I'll go borrow a megaphone right now!"
Levi refused to admit whether he had actually forgotten or was just intentionally trying to dodge the humiliation.
Being hounded to apologize through a megaphone left him practically choking on his own resentment.
"I brought the megaphone."
Skylar Sommers practically materialized from behind them, brandishing a large megaphone.
Levi didn't know her; he only recognized her as Claire's roommate.
Claire looked at Skye as well. Skye had mentioned she had an errand to run on their way over.
Who knew she had gone out of her way to borrow the megaphone?
Wasn't she afraid Levi would retaliate?
They were in the same faculty, after all.
Skye winked at Claire. "The Student Council mentioned that Levi hadn't checked out
a megaphone. They were worried he might forget, so they asked me to bring it along."
Clearly, there were people on the Student Council who despised Levi. Knowing exactly what kind of jerk he was, they had happily supplied the equipment.
Levi mentally carved Skye's name into his blacklist.
But since he had already been kicked off the Student Council, his grudges meant absolutely nothing.
Skye wasn't afraid of him in the slightest.
"Thanks." Levi snatched the megaphone, forcing a smile so tight his teeth audibly ground together.
"You're welcome. It's the least I could do," Skye beamed.
She didn't give a damn about Levi's death glares.
Holding the heavy megaphone, Levi hesitated.
No one wanted to make such a loud, spectacular spectacle of their own apology.
"Start," Claire ordered, her voice cutting through the air like a demon's whisper.
Left with no choice, Levi gripped the device and stepped into the center of the crowded dining hall.
He began his apology to Claire.
He laid out the entire sequence of events with excruciating clarity.
However, he conveniently managed to completely absolve his beloved goddess of any involvement.
He really was the ultimate, dedicated sycophant.
"Regarding the actions I just described, I have deeply recognized the gravity of my mistakes."
"I sincerely apologize to Claire, and I hope she can find it in her heart to forgive me."
With his naturally loud voice
amplified by the megaphone, it
sounded less like a heartfelt annet
and more like a used car salesman screaming about a clearance event.
The dining hall was packed, and every single person present heard Levi's confession.
Claire had even forced him to state his faculty, class, and full name—a requirement
that felt like a slow, agonizing public execution.
Students passing through stopped dead in their tracks to watch the spectacle unfold.
To make matters worse, Claire had recorded the apology and fully intended to loop it
in the dining hall for the next three days.
"You never mentioned that part before!"
Levi's eyes were bloodshot with absolute fury.
Claire blinked innocently. "Didn't I? It's not like I'm forcing you to stand here and apologize in person for three days straight There's really need to throw such a tantrum, .net "Unless, of course, you haven't
actually realized your mistake, amet
half hearted attempt to brushvebet
this entire apology was just a
off?"
With Claire framing it like that, how could Levi possibly defend himself?
"I did no such thing!"
He clenched his fists so hard his knuckles turned white.
He finally realized that this girl was utterly merciless when it came to holding a grudge.
No sane person would ever agree to these outrageous demands!
