The friend had felt completely disgusted.

He had completely cut ties with Levi after that.

Aside from the occasional overlap in Student Council duties, they hadn't exchanged a single word in private since.

Levi had pulled similar stunts countless times.

Consequently, he had racked up an impressive number of enemies.

He was the perfect textbook example of a guy everyone was dying to push off a cliff the second he stumbled.

While Levi cursed fiercely in his head, outwardly, he didn't dare make a single move.

Thinking about how Sloane hadn't even bothered to show up left a suffocating knot in his chest.

If Sloane had been here, would Claire have dared treat him this way?

Having his apology broadcasted on a loop in the dining hall for three straight days- how was that any different from a public execution?

How could he ever show his face in the dining hall again?

It was all Claire's fault. The woman was utterly vicious.

Someone like her would only end up hurting patients if she actually became a doctor!

Claire, of course, had no idea how viciously Levi was cursing her behind her back.

Not that she cared.

Even after hearing the ensuing gossip from the crowd following the apology, she simply brushed it off.

As long as people realized Claire wasn't someone to be messed with, that was all that mattered.

Nobody would dare spread rumors about her so casually again.

Her fierce reputation certainly made plenty of people hesitate to approach her.

But to Claire, that was a massive bonus.

She despised having a relentless swarm of suitors anyway.

Priscilla teased her. "Well, look at that. You've made a name for yourself after just one battle."

"It's not just our faculty anymore. People from all over campus know exactly who you are."

"No one's going to mess with you now. Not with the threat of a three-day dining hall apology hanging over their heads."

Claire shrugged. "Works for me. I don't need anyone thinking I'm some sweet, gentle angel. I just need them to leave me the hell alone."

"As long as they don't think I'm an easy target who can be pushed around, I'm happy."

"I have no interest in starting trouble, and I absolutely refuse to waste energy dealing with petty drama."

Priscilla knew Claire's personality hadn't changed one bit since they were younger.

Those girls in the dorm who loved to whisper behind Claire's back had probably learned their lesson after this, right?

Honestly, Macy Wade and the others had never expected Claire to be this ruthless.

Levi was a junior, for God's sake. Getting him kicked off the Student Council was one thing but

completely annihating his dignity in the dining hall was on a whole other level.

If anyone dared speak ill of her in the future, wouldn't the consequences be even worse?

Even the notoriously gossipy Lily Lowell was too terrified to utter a single bad word about Claire.

Because everyone now knew that when Claire finally struck, she hit with devastating precision.

She had thrown someone in prison back in high school. Who in their right mind would dare cross her?

Over those next three days, Levi wasn't the only one who became famous. Claire did, too.

Single-handedly, Claire elevated the perceived danger level of female students at The Cabinda University.

It got to the point where plenty of people would literally take a detour just to avoid walking past her.

Claire couldn't have cared less. She

even tracked down the guy whose plate she had randomly

conarmandeered, apologizing and offering to buy him a meal t@make up for it.

Remembering the absolute savagery she had displayed, the guy was far too terrified

to actually sit down and eat with her. He didn't even want her money.

"Claire, really, you don't need to pay me back."

"Honestly, it was just a plate of food. It didn't cost that much."

"I... I actually really admire you. Smashing that plate over his head was totally badass."

"Just, maybe don't do it next time. It's a waste of perfectly good food."

Then he immediately panicked, backpedating frantically. "Wait, I didn't mean to criticize you! just meant that the food was really good, and it was a shame to see it go to waste."

"Especially the Glazed Short Ribs. I waited in line forever for those."

The guy was technically an upperclassman, a sophomore in the medical faculty.

But he looked incredibly intimidated.

"You like Glazed Short Ribs?" Claire appraised him. He wasn't heavy, and he had a clean, rather handsome face.

"Yeah," he muttered, scratching the back of his neck.

Why was Claire staring at him like that? Was she hitting on him?
