Otherwise, if word got out, people would say the university didn't know how to educate its students.
Fortunately, General Walter Hudson was a reasonable man.
Facing the teachers, he remained remarkably pleasant.
"I don't blame you. It's this boy's mind that wandered off track," he said.
"He's my own kid, so I'll be the one to beat some sense into him."
The teachers offered him wry smiles.
It wasn't really a matter of whether the boy needed a beating; the problem was that causing such a public scene reflected poorly on the school.
"We're just worried about your health," one of the administrators chimed in.
They were executives, after all, and knew exactly what to say to smooth things over. Walter waved a dismissive hand. "No need to worry. I'm fit as a fiddle."
"Then let's find a private place for you to properly educate your grandson. If you do it here, it would be terrible if you accidentally struck a student."
The administrators continued trying to coax him.
But Walter wasn't easily fooled. "Relax. I was a sniper in my youth. I might be old now, and blind in one eye, but my aim is still dead-on."
"I absolutely won't hit anyone else."
The administrators were rendered speechless, unsure whether to praise him or keep arguing.
"But..."
"Walter, the teachers are right," Wendy Jenson interrupted. "If you beat him up here, you're just putting on a show for the students. Why don't you..."
Hearing Wendy actually speak up for him, Wyatt Hudson was just about to shoot her a look of deep gratitude when she finished her sentence: "Why don't you take him home, string him up, and beat him there."
All the gratitude in Wyatt's heart vanished in an instant.
The old saying was true-hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Walter was incredibly satisfied with Wendy, lamenting internally at what a shame this all was.
She had been so close to officially joining the Hudson family, only for this Melanie girl to ruin everything.
"Wendy, I'm so sorry. Our Wyatt has wronged you."
"Rest assured, I'll teach him a lesson he won't forget and get justice for you."
Walter paused his beating, looking at Wendy with genuine guilt.
Wendy shook her head. "Walter, this isn't your fault."
"It was Wyatt's own choice to get led astray by a pretty face."
"But he's not the only one, and Melanie definitely won't choose him."
"Still, I have no intention of keeping a guy whose eyes wander so easily."
"I'm just glad I figured this out before we actually got engaged; otherwise, calling off a wedding would be nightmare. FindNovel.net
Walter's face fell with regret. "You're a good girl. If you don't want him, it's his loss."

"How does that sound?"
Wendy aside, even Wyatt was absolutely stunned.
"Grandpa, how could you do that?"
Wesley was his cousin, not his biological brother.
But the two of them were quite close.
He had immense respect for Wesley, who was brilliant and had graduated from a
top-tier engineering university.
His current career was incredibly successful.
He was also the grandson Walter favored most.
The only headache was that Wesley was over thirty and still single.
The one thing Wyatt secretly felt he had over his cousin was having a steady girlfriend.
Now his grandfather wanted to hand his girlfriend over to Wesley-on what grounds?
Just hearing his younger grandson's voice annoyed Walter.
"You shut up, Wyatt Fletcher. What do you have to do with the Hudsons?"
