Skylar stared at Claire in shock. "What kind of card is that? It's amazing!"

It had instantly slashed nearly twenty thousand dollars off the price. She looked at Claire as if she were staring at the God of Wealth.

Claire couldn't help but laugh. "It's just a VIP card. You already know I have connections at the top, so this card is nothing."

Skylar looked at Claire with sheer admiration. "Having connections at the top saves an insane amount of money."

Skylar waved her hand grandly. "Girl, I can't do much, but go pick out any pearl accessory from that case, and it's on me!"

Seeing her dramatic generosity, Claire sighed with amusement. "That's not necessary. Victoria handles all my jewelry."

"She's a jewelry designer."

What? Skylar's jaw practically hit the floor.

Then a look of pure envy washed over her face. "How are all your relatives so incredible?"

Her aunt was an executive at SUNNY, and Victoria was a jewelry designer.

"My family members are scattered across various industries, but they aren't exceptionally incredible or anything."

"The only exception is my youngest uncle. He's abroad and has no plans to come back anytime soon."

"My grandmother constantly complains about him, saying they never should have sent him overseas to study."

"Back then, it took the resources of the entire family to support an international student."

"But he ended up staying there to work after he graduated."

"He's almost forty and still isn't married. Every time my grandmother calls him, she practically interrogates him about tying the knot."

This was basically a daily routine for the elderly.

Even a dog walking past would get nagged about marriage.

"Your uncle must have been incredibly smart in school. See, didn't you just inherit your brilliance from him?"

Claire didn't take the bait on that messy topic.

"You're right, my uncle says the exact same thing."

"But I think getting into The Cabinda University was entirely due to my own hard work."

"You didn't see me during my senior year. I practically burned the midnight oil every single night just to get those grades."

"My youngest uncle is brilliant, but he's a naturally gifted genius."

Skylar didn't press the matter. The

Claire drove Skylar back to campus.

Skylar had an early flight tomorrow, and Claire had promised to drop her off.

She ended up buying gifts for everyone else in her family too.

She originally planned to just grab a cab, but Claire, worried about the early flight time, insisted on taking her.

Skylar wanted to throw her arms around Claire and kiss her.

Unfortunately, Claire firmly rejected her affection, placing her hands on Skylar's shoulders to keep her at a safe distance.

Zara was riding high on her success, so the two of them didn't bother her that night.

Skylar grabbed a quick bite back at

the dorm. Claire had originally planned to head back to the Churchill family estate, but

considering she had to drop Skylar off bright and early, she decided to crash at the apartment across from campus for the night.

The next morning, she was up by six o'clock.

Skylar was up early too, dragging her massive suitcase to the campus gates so she could hop right into Claire's car when she pulled up.

Because the suitcase was ridiculously heavy, Claire had to step out to help Skylar load it into the trunk.

"Oh no, oh no. Are we going to be late, Claire? It looks like traffic is backing up on the way to the airport."

Skylar was genuinely panicking. If she missed her flight, she'd have no choice but to buy another train ticket.

The problem was that the train tickets were completely sold out. If she wanted one, she'd be stuck on the waitlist.

And God only knew when a waitlist ticket would actually clear.

"We won't be late. Just close your eyes for a bit; we'll be at the airport in no time."

The drive normally took around forty minutes, and even with traffic, it would only take an hour.

Skylar's flight wasn't taking off for another hour and a half.

She was just terrified that there wouldn't be enough time to check in and get through security.
