Since she couldn't get rid of that cafeteria lady, Priscilla Hastings had simply
stopped going to that specific line.
Who would have thought that window would be booming today.
Priscilla couldn't figure out why.
It was only then that Claire realized Priscilla was the fierce warrior who had caused
a scene last semester!
That cafeteria worker had received countless complaints, yet the cafeteria management never replaced her.
It was obvious she had someone backing her up.
However, it was also partly because the incident happened near the end of the semester, and the university officials hadn't stepped in.
Things were different this time. Hillary Harding needed a job placement, so the cafeteria used the opportunity to fire the problematic woman.
Rumor had it that the woman refused to leave, throwing a massive tantrum in the middle of the cafeteria.
The management tried talking her down but ultimately had to use a bit of force to kick her out.
She was a total lunatic and even came back to the campus a few times to scream
curses.
At first, the security guards didn't know the situation and let her in.
Once they figured it out, she was permanently banned from the premises.
She resorted to standing at the university gates with her hands on her hips, screaming like a maniac.
Priscilla and Claire were completely out of the loop on this gossip, mainly because one was entirely focused on her studies, and the other spent her free time treating patients.
"Of course she had backing. She hooked up with someone in the logistics department."
"That woman was vicious to us, but around him, she acted like a delicate flower."
A girl standing behind them chimed in to answer Claire and Priscilla's unasked questions.
Claire and Priscilla turned their heads at the same time, looking at the girl.
They never expected such juicy gossip.
"How do you know that?" Claire asked curiously.
Priscilla's eyes widened in shock.
"I eavesdropped..." The girl's expression was incredibly secretive.
The three of them instantly hit it off.
This girl was a true gossip aficionado.
She eagerly introduced herself. "I'm Lucinda Vance."
Claire was about to return the courtesy when Lucinda cut her off. "I know who you
are. You're my dad's students."
"Your dad?" Claire and Priscilla exchanged a look.
"Professor Vance is my dad."
Lucinda had no intention of hiding her identity.
She had been wanting to meet this genius junior from the medical school for a long time.
She just never had the chance until now.
Sure enough, bonding over gossip was the fastest way for strangers to become friends.
Lucinda was a sophomore, but she didn't have an ounce of arrogance.
She even suggested they get in the longest line, claiming the new girl serving food was super nice.
Even if she didn't talk much.
She gave everyone the exact same hearty portion, never skipping a beat.
After they got their food, Lucinda warmly invited the two of them to try some of the dishes she had chosen.
Both of them politely declined.
They weren't that close with Lucinda yet, and picking off someone else's plate felt a bit awkward.
Today, Hillary's window was serving BBQ ribs. Claire had tried them before, finding them far too greasy for her taste.
Priscilla loved them, though, so she got a plate, leaving Claire as the only one who passed on the ribs.
Serving BBQ ribs wasn't exactly a test of skill; everyone got a standard portion.
However, pouring the sauce evenly was definitely an art form.
It remained to be seen if the actual
mission would be a success, I
Hillary had adapted to her ronet
cafeteria worker perfectly.
Having thousands of college students smile at her all day, trying to act cute and flashing finger hearts for extra meat-how could anyone not get a little dizzy from the attention?
Aside from the low pay, this job was flawless.
She had already decided that once she retired, she would apply to work
at The Cabinda University caferk
to live out her golden years
As for Hillary's boss?
You haven't even finished this mission, and you're already planning your retirement?
