"You don't want to talk?"
Dane didn't have that much patience.
Quinton had originally looked refined, but now his face was swollen beyond recognition.
However, Dane had no intention of letting him off the hook.
If Silas hadn't been watching, he probably would have beaten the man to death.
"That's enough, Dane. Let's take him back first. I'll have my colleagues find a way to pry his mouth open."
"We need to keep looking."
If the beating continued, the man might die without giving up any information, and then Claire would truly be in danger.
Dane remained silent, his gaze fixed on Quinton. The man was a tough nut to crack. Even Silas's men might not be able to break him.
"I know of a drug that makes a person wish for death. It feels like ants devouring your entire body."
"It's something your people from Sundara created. Care to try it?"
At Dane's words, Quinton lifted his red, swollen eyelids. "I can talk, but you have to let me go."
"A failed operative is as good as dead. Letting you go will only get you killed faster." Dane understood the organization far better than Quinton had anticipated.
Quinton closed his eyes. "I don't know where Claire is either. There was a backup team waiting. They took her away."
"My job was to stay behind and draw your attention."
Quinton truly was the mastermind of the group.
He had told Tycho and Felicity to head for the helicopter to draw the police's attention, claiming he would use the opportunity to sneak Claire away.
In reality, that was just a diversion.
He was the real decoy, while Claire had already been hidden away.
The man was ruthless to his accomplices, and even more ruthless to himself.
To complete the mission, he was willing to sacrifice his own life, let alone the lives of others.
Whether his claim of ignorance was true or not remained to be seen.
He had heard that Solenia wasn't like other countries, so he wasn't afraid Dane would actually use the drug on him.
After claiming Claire had been transferred, he clamped his mouth shut.
Dane didn't say another word. He simply made a phone call, and soon, someone delivered exactly what he needed.
Right in front of Silas, he shoved the pill down Quinton's throat.
Outwardly, it just looked like he was forcing him to drink a cup of water.
Caught off guard, Quinton choked and coughed violently.
Silas turned a blind eye. He still had a missing person to find!
Seeing Silas step away, Dane's gaze on Quinton grew even more vicious.
Quinton quickly experienced the effects of the pill.
True to a product of Sundara, the agony was beyond his endurance.
In a matter of moments, he looked as if he had been dunked in a pool of water.
He bit his lip until it bled. If his face
hadn't been swollen beyond recognition, his current state might have evoked some pity.
Dane watched him coldly. "Still not talking? You're a stubborn one."
With his face pressed against the floor, Quinton remained silent.
The drug was far too effective. He knew he was going to lose his mind very soon. Even death wasn't this terrifying.
It only took fifteen minutes for Dane to get the answer he wanted.
Quinton really had moved Claire. He had dumped her in a trash can in the hospital cafeteria.
It was one of those tall, green dumpsters, easily large enough to fit a living person.
With the lid closed, and since it
wasn't mealtime, no one was
out the trash so she went
completely unnoticed.

If Claire stayed in that trash can for too long, she would definitely
Surete unless someone
Sol
already moved her!
The moment he got the information, Dane rushed out.
He naturally left Quinton to Silas's men.
Silas hadn't expected Dane to actually pry the truth out of Quinton.
When he met up with Dane at the cafeteria, the trash can was already gone.
Sure enough, someone had moved it.
