Chapter 157
NOMAN.
ROMAN- ÀN-
The article loaded in the locker room and my vision went white.
Olivia. Luca. Hotel doors.
His hand at her back.
Time-stamped during my interview. After I had said the relationship with Eden was good because my father had whispered do not make a scene into my ear or there would be serious consequences.
What the hell was that? When I asked Blair where Olivia was, she told me she’d be back soon. Did she really leave during my interview to go to a hotel with fucking Luca?
I slammed my fist into the locker before I could stop myself. I could not control the rage I felt at seeing these articles about them.
Pain shot up my arm. I did not care. I hit it again.
Jalen swore. “Vale. What the hell?”
Tyrell stepped back. “Talk. You just won that game for us. What’s got you pissed all of a sudden?”
Mateo’s voice was calmer. “What’s going on? Talk to us.”
“Nothing.”
“This is not nothing,” Jalen said. “Something is clearly bothering you.”
She had been in this room not long ago. With my tongue inside her. And now she was in a fucking hotel with Luca.
I’d seen her leaving and couldn’t do a single thing at the time with her brother right there. Then my phone blew up with all these pictures of her and the man I had told her to stay away from.
I could still taste her. She was everywhere. Even her scent was still in this locker room somehow.
This was all my fault. I never should have agreed to do that interview with Eden. My parents had surprised me with it and I didn’t react fast enough. Now I was dealing with the consequences.
Luca.
Again.
It was always that asshole. He had women every corner of the room. Why was he so stuck on Olivia? What did he want from her?
I grabbed my bag and stormed out. Tape still on my wrist. I didn’t bother to take a shower. All on my mind was getting to Olivia.
The win already felt like a joke compared to what was happening right now. I’d scored so much for her.

Tonight was for her, and I couldn’t even share it with the world. Instead, I’d let Eden take the credit, and now I was facing the consequences.
Ethan and Blair were in the corridor, both panicking, phones searching.
“I’m going to kill him,” Ethan said. “If he touches my sister I will end Luca Vescari. I cannot believe she would put herself in jeopardy like that. After every warning. A hotel. With him. Alone. I know she likes him but it can’t be that much.”
Blair had her other hand on her stomach. “Ethan. Breathe. We do not know what happened/I am sure there is a reason she’s acting out. Don’t jump to conclusions. The both of them could simply be talking
“We know she went in with him. Inside a room. Just the two of them. Luca doesn’t do just fucking talking. He has a reputation.” He growled.
Fuck. I hadn’t even reached that far. Would Olivia let him touch her after everything that happened between us this weekend and even just now in the locker room? That didn’t seem like her.
But the thought of it made me want to kill someone. Preferably him.
My hand tightened into a fist.
Fuck.
I could not stay here and listen to them talk about this anymore. I had to get to action.
William’s name popped up on Ethan’s screen. Blair was trying to calm everyone and failing. I did not stay for the call. If I stayed I was going to say something that would end years of friendship
I was not going to waste any more time.
I knew the hotel. Everyone knew the hotel. It was also very close. It wouldn’t take me long to get there.
I left them arguing.
The second I got into the car, I was driving like a mad man and almost crashed twice.
My hand throbbed. The clip of her entering the building replayed in my head. His palm at her back. My hand tightened on the steering wheel.
Anger kept climbing the closer I got to the hotel. I was pissed at Luca for existing. At the cameras for being there. At my parents for putting Eden onto me without any warning. At the reporters for asking those questions. At myself for opening my mouth when a reporter handed me the easy lie.
I had done this.
I had also not done enough.
Both things were true and neither one slowed me down.
I would break down every fucking door until I found her.
The lobby staff tried to stop me with a smile. I did not smile back.

I said Vescari. I told them I wanted his room number.
Amanager started a sentence about privacy. I started toward the elevators, ignoring their call.
I would make a scene here today until I found her. I did not care about the consequences right now. I was not going sit still while Olivia was in a hotel room with someone like Luca Vescari. I would fucking kill him if he touched her.
If they wanted a scene they could have one. I had already given the reporters a lie. I was done performing
My phone blew up. Ethan. My mother.
I ignored all of it. My parents could wait. They’d already messed things up enough tonight.
I hit the elevator button with the hand that was already swelling from hitting it earlier and watched the numbers climb, jaw locked, ready to put Luca through a wall once I figured out what room to find him in.
