Chapter 235

CHARLOTTE-

I woke up blushing.

Luca’s arms were around me. I could feel his body heat against mine..Both of us still naked. The sheets smelled like sex and his skin. Sunlight cut across the bed we were not supposed to share.

He was hard against my hip.

Same as last time.

Except this time we had a deal.

Whenever we both want.

No one else.

Full permission.

I did not think twice.

I slid down his body, kissed the line of his stomach, and put him in my mouth.

He woke with a curse.

“Shit-” Then, rough, still half asleep: “What are you doing?”

He looked shocked. Then he groaned.

Then he looked like he was already losing his mind.

His cock was heavy on my tongue, already growing harder and bigger as he watched.

I stared at the sleep messy hair. Mouth open. The second he understood it was real, his hand found my hair like he could not help it.

I answered by taking him deeper.

He growled.

“Motherfucker.”

I worked him with my mouth. Slow first. Then not. I loved the taste of him. I loved even more what it did to him-how his abs jumped, how his hand fisted the sheet, the way he stopped pretending he was in control.

“Charlotte-fuck-look at you. So fucking sexy.”

I hummed.

His hips twitched.

ook him farther. His thigh tensed under my palm. He swore again, Italian this time, dirty, like waking up to his best friend’s mouth was more than his body knew how to handle.

“I’m going to-”

I moved faster.

He exploded in my mouth with a broken sound, flooding my tongue, his whole body locking. His hand tightened in my hair and then gentled, shaking, as he came down.

Then he fell back against the bed with a groan.

I wiped my mouth, grinning, happy and shy at the same time.

He pulled me on top of him immediately.

Kissed me like he could taste himself and did not care. His hands gripped my ass. He was still breathing hard.

“That,” he rasped against my mouth, “is how you use a deal.”

I laughed into his throat.

That was when we heard them.

Voices in the suite.

His parents.

We both froze.

“Shit,” he whispered. “I forgot they have a key.”

I was already scrambling.

He shoved on shorts and was at the bedroom door before I found a shirt that was even mine.

I heard him open it.

“What are you doing here?”

His mother’s voice. Sharp. Already inside the suite like she paid the rent here.

“It is late enough. Let’s have breakfast.”

I yanked on yesterday’s clothes. No time for pretty. Hair a mess. I waited a few minutes so it would not look like I had been under him, then I walked out like a person who slept in her own room and had simply chosen the wrong door.

His mother looked at me.

Then at Luca’s door.

Then at me again.

Suspicious did not cover it.

“Do you sleep in the same bed?”

Luca did not blink.

“No,” he said. “And even if she did, it doesn’t concern you.”

The room went hot.

His father made a sound in his throat.

His mother smiled with no warmth. “Everything in this family concerns us. Especially the girl who keeps you in a sport that almost killed you.”

“Stop with that.” Luca’s voice dropped. “Enough now. Keep quiet about it or we’re not joining you for breakfast.”

I stood there with last night still between my legs and his taste still in my mouth and tried to look flushed.

I was not going to let his mother spoil my mood this morning.

Not after the way he had just come apart in my mouth.

“Good morning,” I said brightly.

She looked at my throat.

I had forgotten the mark.

Luca stepped half in front of me without making it a scene.

His eyes flicked to the bruise he had left, then to my mouth, and the look he gave me was not a best-friend look. It was heat. Possession. The memory of my lips around him still there.

I felt my face go red.

His mother saw that too.

“Breakfast is downstairs,” he said. “You’re not inspecting the bedrooms.”

Marco is already in the restaurant,” his father said. “Beatrice is with him. You will join. Both of you.”

Both of you.

I liked the sound of that more than I should have.

Luca’s jaw flexed. “Charlotte can come if she wants. She isn’t required.”

“I’ll join,” I said quickly. “I just need coffee first.”

His mother’s gaze tracked me all the way to the kitchen.

I felt Luca behind me a second later. Too close for parents in the next room. He reached past me for a mug and and his chest brushed my back.

I froze.

Then blushed.

How was I supposed to act like he had not been inside me last night? Like I had not just swallowed him in his bed?

“You have―” he murmured, so low only I would hear it. His fingers hovered near my throat, not quite touching the mark. “My hair on your neck.”

I reached up.

He beat me to it.

His knuckles skimmed my cheek.

His father cleared his throat.

Luca did not jump back fast enough.

“Coffee,” I said, too bright again.

“We are waiting,” his mother said.

“Then wait,” Luca answered. “She said she needs coffee.”

The kitchen felt too small.

He poured. Our fingers touched on the mug.

Neither of us moved them for a second too long. I could still feel how hard he had been when he woke. I could still hear the sound he made when he came. He looked at my mouth like he was thinking about it

too.

“Stop looking at me like that,” I whispered.

“Then stop standing there looking so fucking sexy.”

“Do I look kissed? My lips feel swollen.”

His mouth almost curved. “You were more than kissed.”

“Luca.”

“What? They’re in the other room. I’m allowed to remember.”

His mother appeared in the kitchen doorway.

We stepped apart like teenagers.

“Are you finished?” she asked.

most,” I said,

She looked from my throat to his bare chest to the fact that he still had not put on a proper shirt.

“Get dressed,” she told him. “It’s a nice public restaurant.”

“I’m aware.”

“Then act like it.”

He held my gaze over her shoulder anyway.

The look said later.

The look said we have a deal.

The look said he was still half in that bed with my mouth on him and his parents were an inconvenience

he wouldn’t survive.

“Five minutes,” he told her.

She left the doorway, unconvinced.

I let out a breath.

Luca leaned in one last time, mouth almost at my ear.

“You wake me like that again,” he murmured, “and I don’t care who is in the suite.”

I swallowed. Hard.

I nodded, because if I spoke I was going to ask him to lock the bedroom door and forget breakfast.

We walked out together, not touching, heat still sitting between us like a secret his parents could smell and could not prove.
