# Chapter 111: The Dangerous Price of Dinner

Hello everyone, it’s me again! How are you all doing today? I hope you’re ready for another emotional roller coaster, because we are about to dive into Chapter 111 of *The Untouchable Ex Wife*. In this chapter, Renee finds herself trapped in a high-stakes game with Stefan, and just when she thinks she can finally force him to talk, the past—and one very dangerous woman—walks straight into her path. So sit back, grab a warm cup of tea, and let’s unpack this tense and dramatic chapter together.

Renee had one thing on her mind: she needed to understand what had happened between her brother and Joanne. Once, there had been so much trust between them. They used to rely on each other so deeply, and Renee couldn’t stand to see that relationship in ruins. More than that, she genuinely believed that if the old grudge between her brother, Joanne, and Stefan could finally be resolved, their families might have the chance to unite and cooperate. It was an answer worth fighting for.

So, she approached Stefan Hunt and cut straight to the point.

“Can you tell me what happened between Joanne and my brother? They used to rely on each other so much! I want to help mend their relationship,” she said, doing her best to sound bright and cooperative. “Just tell me everything, and I’m sure we can find a way through this.”

Stefan looked at her closely for a long moment, then a playful smirk crossed his face. “Great! Tell me instead what you have to offer me.”

Renee blinked, confused. “I don’t have anything to offer. I just want the truth. Tell me what happened between Joanne and my brother so I can help them! Our families could finally cooperate if we solve this mess. Why won’t you just tell me?”

Stefan calmly raised an eyebrow. “No.”

Renee stood there, completely stunned. She thought she had misheard him. “No? What do you mean, no?”

His smile didn’t waver. “I know what happened. But why should I tell you?” He paused, letting his words hang in the air before adding meaningfully, “You’ve got to make me happy first.”

Renee’s patience began to crack. “Are you kidding me right now? Don’t you have any empathy? If we resolve the grudge between my brother, you, and Joanne, wouldn’t it be good for all of us? Our families could finally work together! Why would you refuse to tell me something so important?”

Stefan’s smile grew sharper. “The foundation of cooperation is compatibility. So, you have to make me happy before I decide to cooperate. Once I’m happy… I’ll tell you everything.”

“You’re ridiculous!” She clenched her fists, fighting the urge to slap that smug expression right off his face. And yet, somewhere beneath her anger, Renee knew exactly what was happening. Stefan was a cunning fox, and he was laying a trap. He had always been good at that—twisting conversations so that Renee had no choice but to walk into his hands.

“What do you want from me?” she finally asked, her voice low and controlled.

He leaned back, clearly enjoying her frustration. “Let me think… I’m hungry now. Eat with me.”

Renee wanted to say no. “No, I don’t…” The words slipped out before she could stop them. But then she paused. If she refused, she would never get the truth. There was no other road out of this.

She narrowed her eyes, swallowing her pride. Then, with forced sweetness, she said, “Sure. Master Hunt, what would you like to eat? I’d love to accompany you. I guarantee you’ll have a great meal.”

Stefan was visibly amused by the glare she was trying to hide behind her fake, bright smile. He answered very seriously, “I would like to have Western food today.”

Renee gritted her teeth, but somehow still managed to speak through her forced smile. “Sure, let’s go. I’ll even pour your wine for you and cut up your steak for you.” She added a little sarcastic bow for extra effect.

Stefan rolled his eyes and walked past her, looking impossibly proud of himself. Renee followed behind him, fuming in silence and wondering how one man could infuriate her so much. But she knew she needed to play along—at least for now.

They stepped into the elevator together, tension thick in the air. Renee kept her gaze fixed ahead, while Stefan seemed completely relaxed, as if this was an ordinary business dinner.

Then the elevator doors opened.

They had just stepped out when Renee saw a familiar figure walking toward them. Her heart froze.

It was Seraphina—Stefan’s fiancée.

Stefan’s expression changed slightly. For one brief second, Renee couldn’t tell whether it was happiness or annoyance crossing his face. But that didn’t matter. Without even thinking, Renee subconsciously stepped away from Stefan. She felt like a homewrecker caught in the act, even though she had done nothing wrong. The distance she put between them was almost painful—as if she was the intruder in a scene that didn’t belong to her.

“Stefan!” Seraphina cried out, her voice filled with dramatic emotion. She rushed toward him and threw her arms around his neck, hugging him as though she hadn’t seen him in years. Then she kissed him—deeply, possessively—right in front of Renee.

“I finally found you! Do you know how much I’ve suffered?” Seraphina pressed close to Stefan, still holding onto him as if she was afraid he would disappear. “They nearly caught me and got me involved in telecom fraud!”

Renee stood there, unable to move. The scene unfolded before her like a painful reminder. Stefan had a fiancée. Seraphina had every right to embrace him, to kiss him, to claim him. Renee had no place in that moment—no matter what strange emotions still stirred in her chest.

But as she watched Seraphina cling to Stefan, Renee couldn’t shake the feeling that nothing about this sudden reunion was simple. And if the woman who had just arrived was connected to the secrets Stefan was keeping, dinner might not be the only thing about to burn.

## Reader’s Impressions & Star Rating

This chapter had me completely hooked! The constant game of push-and-pull between Renee and Stefan is so intense—you can feel both the tension that still exists between them and the frustration of their impossible situation. Stefan is such a frustratingly charming fox, using dinner as a weapon while Renee has no choice but to swallow her pride. And that ending with Seraphina? Absolutely jaw-dropping. Just when you think Renee might finally get some answers, an old enemy arrives and threatens to ruin everything.

I give this chapter a solid **4.8 out of 5 stars**. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

## Next Chapter Prediction

Now that Seraphina has appeared out of nowhere, I predict she will try everything in her power to keep Stefan away from Renee. She may use her dramatic “suffering” story to gain Stefan’s sympathy, while secretly plotting to destroy Renee’s chance of uncovering the truth. And Stefan? He’s going to have to choose between his mysterious plans and the woman chasing him. Meanwhile, Renee will probably find herself caught in an unfamiliar game—with a fiancée who hates her and a man she can no longer predict. The real secret behind her brother and Joanne might be deeper than she ever imagined.
