# Chapter 285: The Secret Among the Flowers

Hello everyone, it's me again! How are you all doing? Today I will continue to walk with you and review Chapter 285 of "The Untouchable Ex Wife" — a chapter full of innocent intentions, dark schemes, and a revelation that will turn a child's world upside down.

Adie had walked past this magnificent garden countless times on his way to visit Renee. Each time, his eyes would linger on those splashes of color — the crimson roses, the lush rhododendrons in full bloom, and the proud, brilliant peonies that seemed to soak up every ray of sunlight. To Adie, there was something magical about flowers. He knew, with a child's simple certainty, that his mother loved beautiful things. And in his eyes, flowers were among the most beautiful gifts the world had to offer.

So today, he decided to do it. He would pick the most gorgeous blooms and weave them into a bouquet worthy of his mother's smile.

The garden was even more spectacular up close. Roses the size of his small hands opened their velvet petals, while the rhododendrons spread like a sea of soft pink and fuchsia. Adie waded carefully into the shrubbery, his small fingers brushing against stems heavy with dew. With every flower he plucked, the picture became more complete. Surrounded by blossoms, with light filtering through the leaves above him, he looked like a little angel painted onto a movie screen — innocent, pure, and glowing with purpose.

But fate had something else in store for him that day.

Adie had just snapped off another perfect stem when an angry, shrill voice cut through the serenity of the garden. A woman was speaking on the phone — and her words made the air feel suddenly colder.

"I don't care, we have to put an end to this surgery and stop Owen from coming to the hospital!"

The child froze, instinctively kneeling lower among the flowers.

"Is it that hard to make a person disappear? People die in plane crashes and car accidents all the time! Doesn't he like fishing? He can drown at sea then! Just stop calling me and asking questions, all I want to hear is that you've got the job done."

A chill ran down Adie's spine. He was young, but he was not naive. He had lived through enough chaos in his short life to know when something was deeply, terribly wrong. His instincts told him to stay still and listen.

The woman continued, her tone simmering with impatience. "Stefan can't know about this because he's still in the hospital... All you have to know is that he wants to have the surgery. As long as you get rid of Owen, I can find him another neurosurgeon. Listen — we'll be the ones who suffer if he gets back his memories, okay? Right, I'll leave it to you then."

Then, with a heavy sigh, she ended the call and walked away — never once noticing the small boy hidden among the roses.

Adie rose slowly from his crouched position. His heart was racing. That name. *Stefan*. Could she possibly be talking about someone else? He tried to piece the fragments together in his mind. His scumbag daddy's name was Stefan Locke. If that woman was referring to him, then it meant... his father had lost his memories. That explained the cold, distant look in his eyes at that birthday party — why he didn't recognize Adie, why he didn't remember the family he'd left behind.

Maybe Stefan wasn't a scumbag at all. Maybe something horrible had happened to him. Maybe he deserved understanding, not hatred.

The realization landed on Adie's small shoulders like a heavy weight. His mind spun with questions, with what-ifs, with the image of a father he might never really know — a father trapped in darkness, stripped of the memories of his own children.

But before he could process any of it...

"Hey, what are you doing here alone? Where are your parents?"

The cold voice sliced through his thoughts like a blade. Adie snapped out of his daze and turned, his eyes sweeping upward to meet the speaker's face.

When he finally saw who stood before him, his small body went rigid. The beautiful bouquet he had so carefully gathered — every stem, every petal, every dream of making his mother smile — tumbled from his trembling fingers, scattering across the ground like fallen secrets.

His eyes went wide.

Somehow, this was the last person he had ever expected to meet... or the very person he feared most.

## Reader's Impressions & Star Rating

Oh my, what a chapter! I am completely hooked. Watching the world through Adie's innocent eyes is both heartbreaking and fascinating. His pure intention to pick flowers for Renee transforms into an accidental discovery of a dark conspiracy — and that transition is masterfully written. The contrast between the serene beauty of the garden and the venom in Seraphina's voice creates such gripping tension. Poor Adie! He has just realized that his father might not be the scumbag he believed, that Stefan may have lost his memories — and then he's confronted by a mysterious figure in the garden. Who is it? Seraphina returning? Owen? Or... Stefan himself? This cliffhanger is absolutely nerve-wracking!

## Next Chapter Prediction

If the next chapter follows this momentum, I predict Adie will come face-to-face with someone connected to Stefan's situation — possibly Seraphina catching him eavesdropping, or maybe even Stefan himself stumbling upon his own son. With Adie's newfound knowledge that his father lost his memories, we may witness a painful, heart-wrenching encounter where father and son stand inches apart, yet miles away — one without memories, the other carrying the weight of a terrible secret. Will Adie reveal what he overheard? Will he confront the man who doesn't remember him, or will he flee to protect his mother? Buckle up, dear readers, because this emotional rollercoaster is far from over!
