The story resumes with a thrilling race across the island. This was not just any race—this was the moment that would determine where each contestant would lay their head for the coming days. Everyone dashed across the sandy terrain, cheering, panting, and elbowing one another out of the way in a desperate bid for the most luxurious accommodation.

But let me tell you, one person stood above all others in this particular sprint. Leia ran like the wind, beating everyone in the race by an impressive margin. And so, it was only fitting that she claimed the biggest, most beautiful prize of them all: a gorgeous, spacious house that faced the ocean directly. If that house had been any more perfect, it would have been featured in a luxury travel magazine.

As Leia stood there, looking out at the endless blue waves, the other contestants could only watch with burning jealousy in their hearts. Oh, how they wished for a slice of her good fortune!

Xavier, however, was on the opposite end of the luck spectrum. Because he was too slow, he was left with the very last house on the island. And when he finally arrived at his so-called "lodging," his jaw nearly crashed into the ground.

What stood before him was not a house. It was an insult in the form of architecture!

The cottage was unbelievably tiny. It had no roof, only a cramped bed stuffed inside its interior, and a nauseating, pungent smell of fish that permeated every corner. The place was barely fit for a stray animal, let alone the president of Universal Entertainment!

Xavier was absolutely used to a life of luxury. He had flown in private jets, slept in five-star penthouses, and dined on cuisine crafted by world-famous chefs. To suggest he stay here felt like a deliberate joke. So, with full indignation, he spun around and protested loudly to the crew: "How can I stay here? I demand a different house!"

But Billy, the crew member in charge, was patient and firm as he explained: "I'm sorry, Mr. Stuart, but these are the rules. The guests must compete for the houses. The only way you can change your accommodations is by earning the most points."

Xavier's brow furrowed. As the powerful president of Universal Entertainment, he was not used to being told what to do. But live television was a different beast. If he rebelled too fiercely, the audience would make a big fuss, and that was the last thing he wanted.

So, with a deep sigh of frustration, he chose a different, smarter angle. "Fine. I can change my house..." He rubbed his chin thoughtfully, gears turning in his mind. "Just tell me this, how do I get more points?"

Billy smiled and explained: "It's quite simple, Mr. Stuart. You just need to do more farm work. We have farmers live right here on the island, so you can earn points by feeding the farm animals, helping them give birth, or even cleaning up the farm."

Xavier looked positively horrified. "Are you sure this is a dating show?" he groaned miserably. "Because this sounds an awful lot like illegal free labor."

Billy let out an awkward laugh, quickly shifting the blame elsewhere. "You know how it is. Adam Jiminez is the director of this show, and he's just finished shooting Happy Days. He really likes the guests to get their hands dirty. He sees it as a way to bring out the most genuine reactions."

Xavier's anger simmered dangerously beneath his skin. He bit out furiously: "How do you expect me to look charming while I'm picking up manure and helping a pig have babies? I have to hand it to Mr. Jiminez, he really knows how to dream up the most... unique ideas." His voice dripped with sarcasm, his eyes flashing with annoyance.

But then, something shifted. A mischievous, almost manic light danced in Xavier's eyes. He rolled up his sleeves with sudden fierce determination. "Fine!" he declared loudly. "If you want me to earn points, then so be it. All the manure for the next few days is mine! No one else can snatch them away from me!"

Billy could barely process what he was hearing before Xavier looked eagerly around and asked in an excessively bright voice: "Now, where are the pigs? I'm going to help with the farrowing, and then I'll roast the piglets for dinner!"

Billy's face went pale. "Umm... there's no rush, Mr. Stuart. Why don't you check out your room first—"

"There's nothing to see in that cottage," Xavier interrupted impatiently, waving a dismissive hand. "I'll find that pig and make it my partner. Then your view count will absolutely go through the roof, won't it?"

Billy was flat-out frightened now, stammering, "You... you don't have to make such a big sacrifice, Mr. Stuart." He genuinely wondered if Xavier had lost his mind to the island heat.

But while Billy was panicking, the audience watching from home was absolutely wild with excitement!

"Oh my! Xavier wants a pig as his partner!" "He's seriously strange. Could he really do that just for the view count?" "I want to be that pig!"

The comment section exploded with laughter and disbelief. Nobody could ever accuse Xavier of being boring, that was for sure.

Finally, after all of his dramatic outbursts, Xavier completed his negotiations with the universe. He let out a long, heavy breath. The storm had passed, at least for now. Resigned to his fate, he obediently grabbed his luggage and dragged it to his little disappointment of a cottage.

Stepping inside made him wince—the fish smell was even stronger than it had been from the outside. There was barely enough room to turn around, and the bed was laughably small. But, life is all about perspective, and Xavier was in desperate need of a silver lining.

So, he let out a resigned sigh and flopped down onto the bed. It was then that something unexpected struck him. His cottage didn't have a roof. As odd and inconvenient as that flaw was, it meant that the ceiling above him was replaced by the endless expanse of the open sky.

He looked upward and caught his breath. The afternoon clouds painted a masterpiece across the blue. "Wow... it looks amazing," he murmured softly to himself. His imagination ran wild. "I'm sure it'll be wonderful to stargaze here at night... even more so if Leia could be here with me."

A goofy, boyish grin spread across Xavier's face as he fantacized about lying side by side with Leia beneath a blanket of twinkling stars. He spent his time in that broken, fish-smelling shack dreaming of watching the constellations with the woman who had captured his heart.

Meanwhile, over at the gorgeous beachfront property, Leia was caught in the middle of a flood of envious compliments. Standing by the balcony railing, Megan gazed at the wonderful view with a wistful gleam in her eyes. It was obvious she was completely captivated by the house's charm.

"Leia, this house is literally my dream home," Megan said, turning to study Leia with unconcealed admiration. "So, tell me how you did it? How did you know that we had to compete for the houses?"

## Reader's Impressions & Star Rating

Oh, what a wonderfully layered chapter this was! I absolutely adored seeing Xavier being completely humbled by reality television. The moment he rolled up his sleeves and announced he was going to "make a pig his partner" gave me an uncontrollable laughing fit—he truly is one of the most unpredictable characters in existence. And yet, beneath all that bravado and wild comedy, his quiet, romantic fantasies about watching the stars with Leia melted my heart completely. That final glimpse into his tender heart while lying in his sad, roofless cottage was pure poetry. And the mysterious question from Megan at the end makes me crave even more. This chapter was equal parts hilarious, romantic, and mysterious—a magnificent mix!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 4.8 / 5 Stars

## Next Chapter Prediction

Megan's curiosity is clearly piqued, and I can't help but wonder where that conversation might lead. Perhaps Leia will reveal a secret advantage she has—or perhaps Megan is fishing for information in a less innocent way than she pretends. Meanwhile, Xavier is probably about to do something utterly ridiculous with those farm animals to collect points, but what if Leia unexpectedly shows up to watch him? Could we get our first sweet, unguarded interaction between them on this island? With both of their competitive spirits burning and the romance simmering beneath the surface, the next chapter is definitely going to be an unforgettable treat!
