# Chapter 320: Beneath the Same Moon, Apart in the Dark

Hello everyone, it's me again! How are you all doing? Today I will continue to walk with you and review Chapter 320 of "The Untouchable Ex Wife." This chapter is quieter than most, but don't let that fool you — beneath the calm words and the cold moonlight, a storm of guilt, sacrifice, and hidden devotion is brewing. Let’s step into the manor and uncover what really happened.

Eloise had made up her mind. She handed her phone to Renee and said simply, “Okay, I’ll post your status later. Log in to your account first.”

Renee took the phone without resistance. She logged into her social account and cooperated fully. It would have been easy to scream for help or make a scene, but Renee didn’t feel like doing so. Perhaps some part of her believed she deserved all of this. Perhaps a larger part of her was too tired to run anymore.

Eloise watched her closely, surprised by what she saw. Renee really had given up her eyes without a single protest. Slowly, Eloise’s suspicion turned into reluctant admiration. “I didn’t imagine that you would really give up your eyes,” she admitted. “No wonder my master loves you so much... A woman like you really is worthy of the sacrifices he’s made.”

Renee looked back at her and smiled faintly. “Is that a compliment? I’m not a good person — I just hate the idea of owing someone.”

Those words hung in the air, heavy with layered meaning. Eloise let out a long sigh. “Maybe he wants that... but I won’t let him be a fool any longer. It doesn’t matter who owes who, he’s the only one suffering here. If this surgery is successful, I hope he’ll be more ruthless and force you to be with him. That was how he used to do things.”

Eloise had been raised by Jovan’s parents since she was young. Her only purpose in life was to serve Jovan alone, and she was willing to do anything for him. She knew better than anyone that a man who stayed neutral would only survive if he remained ruthless. Jovan had once been cunning, confident, and sharp — nothing could stop him. But then he had decided to do something good, something selfless, and he had gone overboard.

That was what had happened when he gave up his eyes.

Eloise blamed herself. She hadn’t kept a close watch on him. She couldn’t let him go down this wrong path any longer. If the surgery succeeded, she would push him to become the person he used to be — not a blind, broken man sitting alone in the dark, but the calculated, powerful Jovan Hunt who took whatever he wanted.

Renee looked forlorn as she asked quietly, “How did Jovan spend his days?”

Eloise scoffed bitterly and shook her head. “Hah! What could a weak, blind man do? Mostly, he just likes spending time in the garden, quietly enjoying the smell of the flowers. He used to be so bright and active before this.”

Renee lowered her head, guilt pressing down on her chest. “It’s all my fault. I hope he can get better.”

Night fell, and Eloise left the room Renee was staying in. It was actually the basement of the manor. The manor had been built on high ground, so sunlight could still filter in through the window, but no sound could escape upward — the floors above were three stories away, thick and unreachable. That was why Jovan had no idea that for the past three days, Renee had been living under the very same roof as him.

The moon was shining brightly that cold night, casting silver light across the manor. Jovan sat on the balcony, letting the cool breeze brush against his face. As always, sadness weighed deep in his bones. Time seemed to have stood still during these days without light. The only way he could tell whether it was morning or night was by the wind that blew through the manor.

Eloise approached him quietly and placed a blanket over his shoulders. “It’s getting late, Mr. Hunt, and it’s quite cold tonight. Should I help you back to your room to rest?”

Jovan murmured softly, raising his face toward the sky. “Let me sit here for a little longer... Can you tell me if it’s a full moon today?”

“It is,” Eloise answered gently. “And the moon is shining bright.”

A sad smile touched Jovan’s lips. He sighed regretfully, thinking about all the things he had lost. “It’s a shame I didn’t watch the moon more before I lost my sight.”

Those words drifted into the cold night air like a ghost — a quiet confession from a man who had once seen the world clearly, and now could only remember its light.

And somewhere below, in the hidden basement, the woman he had sacrificed everything for lay awake beneath the very same moon that he could no longer see.

### Reader's Impressions & Star Rating

This chapter is a heartbreakingly quiet exploration of guilt, loyalty, and unspoken love. I loved how the story contrasts Eloise’s fierce devotion with Renee’s quiet resignation, and Jovan’s poetic sadness with the hidden truth that Renee is so close yet so far away. The image of Jovan staring blindly toward a full moon while Renee stays hidden in the basement under the same roof is tragically beautiful. The slow burn is painful, but it makes every emotion feel real.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating: 4.8 / 5 Stars

### Next Chapter Prediction

With Eloise determined to make Jovan ruthless again after his surgery, and Renee still hidden in the basement, the next chapter will likely bring a confrontation. Will Jovan somehow sense Renee’s presence, or discover the truth on his own? And if his sight is restored, will his first action be to find her — and force her to stay by his side, just as Eloise hopes? One thing is certain: the quiet is about to break, and the storm is coming.
