# Chapter 357: A Son's Desperate Plea

Hello everyone, it's me again! How are you all doing? Today I will continue to walk with you and review Chapter 357 of "The Untouchable Ex Wife". If you've been following along, you know that Stefan has just woken up from surgery with his memory restored—but there is no time for celebration. His son Adie has brought news that stops his heart cold.

The hospital room felt too quiet, the steady beep of the heart monitor the only rhythm in the air. Adie stood at Stefan's bedside, his small face far too serious for a child his age. He looked directly into Stefan's eyes, and there was nothing playful or young about his gaze.

"My mommy might be in trouble," Adie said, his voice calm, though barely hidden beneath it was a deep tremor of fear. "Even though she couldn't do video calls, she could still make voice calls. I don't think she's being controlled by someone. I've already found her location... but I can't save her. I need your help."

Stefan's breath hitched. The bandage around his head seemed to tighten, the dull throb of his wound transforming into a sharp, stabbing pain. Renee's last known location had been at Jovan's manor. He remembered the jealousy that had gnawed at him, the bitter assumption that she was simply enjoying another romantic date with Jovan. A wave of shame and dread washed over him, so strong it left him dizzy. If she were truly safe, she would never have missed a video call with her children. Renee was a mother first, always. He clenched his fists until his knuckles turned white, furious at himself for the thoughts he'd had.

"Stop daydreaming," Adie said, snapping him back to the present. "Are you going to help or not? If you can't, I'm going to call the cops and ask for their help."

Adie had truly regarded Stefan as his last hope. Every other door had been closed to him. The police would be slow—painfully slow—and would demand proof, evidence, proper paperwork. And what kind of evidence could a child provide? Even if he showed them the location data, they might just dismiss him as a child with an overactive imagination. He would lose precious time. Time his mother might not have.

"I'll go with you," Stefan said instantly, pushing the blanket aside and swinging his legs over the bed.

"No way!" Adie's voice was sharp, angry. The boy rushed forward and shoved him back down onto the mattress with surprising strength for a child. "You haven't recovered yet, so you'd better not move. Just ask your men to save her. If you go now, you might get into trouble before we even get there. Do you want my mommy to see you lying in a coma again?"

The boy's scolding was so direct, so full of frustration, that Stefan actually paused. He blinked at Adie, whose chest was heaving with emotion.

"Oh... okay." Stefan's voice was soft, ashamed. He knew the boy was right. His brain injury had yet to heal, and the stitches from the surgery could tear open at any moment. The doctors had warned him to avoid any stress, any physical exertion. The consequences of ignoring that advice could be unimaginable—even death. As much as his entire body screamed to run to Renee's side, he had to be sensible. He couldn't save her if he destroyed himself on the way.

"Elijah!" Stefan called out, his voice shaky, weak, so unlike the commanding tone Elijah was used to hearing from him.

In seconds, the door opened and Elijah stepped inside. His eyes darted from Stefan to Adie, a flicker of worry crossing his face. "What's the matter, Mr. Hunt?" Elijah's gaze settled on the boy with a hint of curiosity. He asked carefully, "How are you feeling now? Do you... remember who this kid is?"

Stefan rolled his eyes and scoffed. "Of course! He's my son."

"Oh, that's great!" Elijah's face lit up with relief. So Owen was truly skilled after all—Stefan had regained his memories. And looking at him now, he seemed calmer, more grounded than before. Perhaps there was still hope for the tortured soul who had been lost in a fog of amnesia.

But the relief in Elijah's heart was short-lived when Stefan spoke again: "Renee might be in danger. I need you to get some men and go to Jovan's manor to ask for her."

Elijah's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "She's in danger?" He muttered, scratching his head. "But didn't you call her before the surgery? She might be on a date with Jovan now. Wouldn't it be inappropriate for us to just barge in on them?"

Internally, Elijah was in turmoil. On one hand, he had been overjoyed to see the couple reconnecting. It had always been his secret hope that the two of them would reconcile, that all their past pain would dissolve into something beautiful. On the other hand, he was terrified. Every time those two got close again, danger followed like a shadow. They had already been through so much—kidnappings, betrayals, near-death experiences. As an outsider watching them, it was genuinely exhausting to try and keep up with their dramas.

"Cut the crap and go, or I'll go on my own," Stefan growled, his voice suddenly icy. That tone left no room for argument.

Elijah stood frozen for only a heartbeat before snapping into action. He didn't need to hear the orders again. He knew Stefan meant every word. With a brisk nod, Elijah turned and left the room, already pulling out his phone to summon reinforcements.

Stefan fell back against the pillows, breathing heavily. The mental effort was draining him. But his eyes remained fixed on the door, as if he could see through it, all the way to Renee's location. His voice was barely a whisper:

"Renee... hold on. I'm coming for you."

And that brings us to the end of this chapter.

What an emotional rollercoaster! Honestly, reading this scene, I couldn't help but feel so proud of little Adie. He is just a child, yet he has become the one bearing the weight of finding his mother. He was so mature, so composed—even bossing around the mighty Stefan Hunt! And Stefan's mix of guilt, desperation, and vulnerability, all wrapped in a fragile post-surgical body, just tugs at your heartstrings. Elijah's conflicted loyalty and his frantic rush to obey also show how deeply these characters are bound together. This chapter is pure tension, with just a glimmer of hope that Stefan will reach Renee in time.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating: 4.8 / 5 Stars

Next Chapter Prediction: Elijah will likely lead a team to Jovan's manor, but instead of a peaceful reunion, they may find signs of coercion or a trap. Meanwhile, Stefan might struggle between following the ambulance to rescue Renee personally and obeying his medical restrictions. There's a strong chance that Renee, imprisoned against her will, will fight to escape or find some clever way to send a message to her children before it's too late—or that Stefan's sudden arrival will trigger a dangerous confrontation with Jovan, revealing the villain's ultimate scheme.
