Hello everyone, it's me again! How are you all doing today? I hope you're ready for another emotional ride, because today’s chapter is full of darkness, tension, and painful discoveries. We are about to enter a cold and suffocating room where nothing is what it seems. So let’s walk together into Chapter 563 of "The Untouchable Ex Wife" — and trust me, this one will leave you breathless.

The heavy silence in that dark room was enough to make a person’s heart stop. Xavier stood frozen near the entrance, his eyes scanning every corner, every shadow, every cold stone surface. The room was empty. Stefan was nowhere to be found.
"He... escaped?"
The words left Xavier’s mouth in a whisper, full of confusion and disbelief. How was that possible? They had arrived as quickly as they could. They thought they were still in time to find him, to save him from whatever nightmare he had been trapped in. But there was nothing here now except lingering dread and the ghost of a man who had once stood in this very spot.
Then Xavier saw something that made his blood run cold.
He moved closer to Quinton, who was already staring upward. About seven meters above the ground, the ceiling opened into an air vent. It was barely the width of a well, narrow and uninviting. A dim, strange light pressed against its iron grill from the other side. And on the wall beneath it, there were clear marks—footprints, pressed into the grime as if someone had climbed straight up.
"Those look like Stefan's footprints!" Xavier’s voice trembled with alarm. He recognized the pattern. Those were the hiking boots Stefan had worn when he left home. He had seen them countless times. This was no coincidence. Stefan had been here, and Stefan had climbed.
Silas looked up at the narrow air vent, his face going pale. "He escaped... from here? No, it can't be." He shook his head rapidly, as if refusing to believe it. "That vent is too small. It’s nearly impossible for someone to crawl through it. And even if he did manage to get out on the other side... there’s nothing out there. Just a vertical drop, a straight cliff with nothing to hold onto. Anyone who tried that route would fall to their death!"
Xavier’s eyes widened. He didn't wait for anyone to say another word. With a burst of reckless determination, he scrambled up the passage, using whatever holds he could find. The metal was cold against his palms, and every movement echoed through the empty room. When he reached the vent, he threw his fist against the iron grill. The rusted metal gave way under the force of his desperation, and a pale, eerie light poured into the darkness.
He stuck his head through the opening. And what he saw made the world drop out from under him.
There was nothing—just endless darkness, the vast emptiness of the night, and a terrifying cliff that disappeared into the abyss. The wind howled past his face, sharp and merciless, as if mocking him. For a moment, Xavier simply stared, unable to breathe, unable to move.
"No..." He pulled back unsteadily, nearly losing his balance and falling from the passage. His chest heaved. He stumbled back down, his face ashen. "No, it can’t be! Stefan wouldn’t leave from there. He’s not that dumb!"
Quinton frowned deeply. He said nothing at first. Instead, he crawled up the same passage and looked out for himself. What he saw matched Silas's words exactly. The vent opened onto nothing but a sheer drop into darkness. The wind below carried no sound, no sign of life, just a deep and endless void. Quinton had faced many dangers in his life, but even he felt a chill crawl down his spine. There was something truly terrifying about this place. He quickly pulled back and dropped down.
"You're right," Quinton said quietly, his voice heavy. "If Stefan really crawled out through that narrow passage, he might have fallen and died instantly. But... it’s more likely that he escaped some other way."
Those words should have brought comfort, but they didn't. They simply left too many unanswered questions hanging in the air.
Silas rubbed his hands together nervously. His face was filled with guilt and unease. He could feel the storm brewing in Xavier’s eyes. "I'm so sorry," he stammered. "I didn't expect that he would crawl out of here. We thought... We thought it was impossible. We never imagined..."
"Sorry?"
Xavier’s voice was low, dark, and deadly. His eyes suddenly turned wild, as if all reason had abandoned him. He rushed forward and grabbed Silas by the throat, slamming him against the wall. His fingers tightened around Silas’s neck with murderous intensity.
"What’s the use of having laws if sorry can change everything? If you're really sorry, then crawl out of that hole yourself! Look down at that cliff and see what it feels like to die like that!"
Every word exploding from Xavier’s mouth was filled with raw pain. He couldn't bear to imagine what Stefan had gone through. The fear, the desperation, the loneliness. And now, to think that Stefan might have been forced to take such a deadly risk... It made Xavier want to tear the world apart.
He lifted Silas up by his collar and tried to force him toward the narrow passage. Silas gasped, kicking and struggling, his face growing red.
Immediately, the guards swarmed in. They surrounded Xavier, ready to use force to stop him. "Let Mr. Drago go!" one of them shouted.
Quinton stepped forward quickly, his voice firm but careful. "Let him go, Xavier. It was an accident."
Xavier laughed a bitter, hollow laugh. "You're right. It was an accident. So..." His eyes narrowed dangerously. "...it will also be an accident when I throw this rat out of that hole!"
For a moment, no one moved. The tension in the room was suffocating. Every guard was ready to strike, but Xavier’s rage was so fierce that it seemed to push them all back. His hands trembled as he stared at Silas, his mind already consumed by thoughts of revenge. He was determined to make Silas pay with his life.
But in that moment, no one knew whether Xavier would be able to do it—or whether he had just made the biggest mistake of his life.

## Reader’s Impressions & Star Rating
This chapter was absolutely heart-stopping. The tension rose from the very first moment and never let go. You can feel Xavier’s grief and rage pouring off the page, and it’s impossible not to be swept into his desperate need for justice. The image of that dark cliff beyond the air vent is chilling and unforgettable. This is one of the most emotionally intense chapters in this story—powerful, painful, and completely gripping.

## Next Chapter Prediction
Xavier’s reckless fury may put him in serious danger, especially as Silas’s guards close in. But something tells me Stefan might not be as gone as everyone believes. Could he have found a hidden way to survive? If so, the next chapter could reveal Stefan alive somewhere, battered but breathing, just as Xavier’s world is about to collapse completely. Either way, an even bigger storm is coming.
