The hospital corridors stretched before Adie like the endless hallways of a grand castle. But this little prince wasn't here for a tour, he was on a sacred mission. His father, Stefan Hunt, was lying somewhere on that exclusive tenth floor, and nothing, absolutely nothing, was going to stand between a son and his father.

Now, if you know Adie, you know he isn't your typical little boy. He's sharp, observant, and carries within him the combined intellect of two brilliant parents. And when he learned that his mother was being kept from seeing his father, well, that just wouldn't do. Not on his watch.

But the universe, it seems, loves to test our little hero's resolve.

"The tenth floor," Adie murmured, his small feet landing squarely in the elevator. Anyone who knew Stefan Hunt knew the man only occupied the best. The penthouse suite of healing. The VIP ward. The place where presidents go when their bodies betray them. So Adie pressed the button and up he soared, his heart pounding with determination.

*Ding!*

The elevator doors slid open, revealing pristine white floors and the quiet hum of a premium medical facility. Adie stepped forward, chin lifted, eyes scanning for any sign of his father. But before he could take more than five steps...

*Slap.*

Not a sound, but a presence. A shadow fell over him, so tall and wide that it blocked the very fluorescent lights above.

"Where are you from, kiddo?"

Adie looked up. And up. And *up*. The man before him was a mountain in a black suit. Broad shoulders, a fierce scowl etched into a rugged face, and there, glinting at his hip, a gun in its holster. The sight would have sent most children running in terror. Most children. Adie was not most children.

"You shouldn't be here. Where are your parents? Hurry up and get out of here!" the bodyguard barked.

Adie's eyes narrowed. This was Francine's doing, no doubt. That woman must have gone absolutely overboard with security. Bodyguards stationed at every entrance, every stairwell, every ventilation shaft, for all he knew! It would seem the matriarch of the Hunt family had turned the inpatient department into Fort Knox.

But Adie had come too far to turn back now. He planted his small feet firmly on the ground, squared his little shoulders, and looked the towering man dead in the eye with all the dignity of a crown prince addressing a peasant.

"My father is Stefan. Take me to him."

For a moment, the bodyguard just stared. Then a sneer curled across his lips. "Nice try, kid. Mr. Hunt is the president of Hunt Enterprise, and there's no way he's your father."

Adie felt his eye twitch. *Excuse me?*

"Well, well, well," the bodyguard continued, looking down at Adie like he was an insect that needed squashing, "Mr. Hunt's enemies are really getting creative these days. Sending a kid over? How pathetic." He crouched slightly, his voice dropping to a menacing whisper. "Who sent you? Tell me, or I'm going to teach you a lesson you won't forget."

Now, you might expect a normal five-year-old to burst into tears at this point. But Adie? Oh no. This little warrior had fire in his veins and Stewart steel in his spine. And he absolutely, positively was not going to let this overgrown gorilla intimidate him.

But then, before Adie could even formulate a clever retort, the bodyguard moved with surprising speed. Two massive hands clamped down on Adie's shoulders, and before he knew it, the little boy was airborne, dangling like a kitten being scolded.

"What weapons do you have with you? Give them up now!" the man barked, shaking Adie slightly.

Oh, that was it. That was *absolutely* it!

"Let go of me! How dare you bully me!" Adie's voice rose, not in fear, but in righteous fury. "My mommy isn't going to let you go if she knows you did this to me!"

And then, because Adie was extremely smart, he realized something crucial. If he shouted loudly enough, if he made an absolute spectacle of himself, word would reach his father. Stefan might be injured, but he was certainly not deaf. So Adie kicked and squirmed with all his might.

"Be quiet! Keep this up and I'll shoot you!" the bodyguard hissed, clamping a large hand over Adie's mouth.

For a big man who had faced down countless criminals, dangerous men, and all manner of threats, this was genuinely the most panicked he'd ever been. A mere child was making him drip with sweat. The little demon was biting! Kicking! Squirming like a wild animal!

But Adie wasn't done. Oh no, not by a long shot. His muffled cries continued, and then, when he managed to free his mouth for just a split second, he unleashed his secret weapon:

"Help! Help me! Someone is trying to bully a child. Help!"

The words echoed through the corridor like a battle cry. Adie bit down on the man's hand again for good measure, and the bodyguard let out a grunt of pain. He'd been bitten before too, but never by a child with such vicious precision!

The bodyguard was flustered and flailing, trying to figure out how to silence this tiny hurricane without actually hurting him, when the sound of footsteps approached.

"What is going on here?"

Francine's voice cut through the chaos like a blade.

When her eyes landed on the sight before her, they widened in absolute horror. There, held like a sack of potatoes by one of her own bodyguards, was her precious grandson!

"Stop!" she shrieked, her voice booming with authority.

"Madam!" The bodyguard immediately held Adie up as if displaying evidence of a crime. "I'm sure Mr. Hunt's enemies sent this boy over, but don't worry. I'll get rid of him now."

*Get rid of him?* Francine felt her blood pressure spike dangerously.

"Nonsense! I'll get rid of you if you don't put him down!" she snapped, rushing toward them with surprising speed for a woman of her age.

The bodyguard blinked in confusion. "Huh?"

Before he could process what was happening, Francine had snatched Adie from his grip, pulling the little boy protectively into her arms. Her heart was beating so fast. The thought of what could have happened... what that foolish guard might have done to her grandson...

"Oh, dear. What are you doing here alone, Adie?" Francine's voice softened as she held the boy close. She pulled back to examine him, checking for any injuries, her hands moving over his little arms and face. "Where's your mommy? Why didn't you contact me before you came?"

She looked into those familiar eyes, eyes just like his father's, and her voice wavered with genuine concern. "You would have gotten into trouble if I was late."

What a heart-pounding scene we've witnessed today! This chapter reminds us that even in the most protected environments, danger can lurk in unexpected forms. And oh, that little Adie! My heart was in my throat watching him stand up to that towering bodyguard. He has the courage of a lion and the sharp wit of both his parents. Francine's arrival was perfectly timed, but the real question remains: will she now take him to see Stefan? Will father and son finally be reunited in that hospital room?

**Reader's Impressions & Star Rating:**

I am absolutely thrilled by this chapter! Watching little Adie bravely confront an armed bodyguard was both nerve-wracking and inspiring. His clever decision to create a scene to alert his father shows a maturity beyond his years, while still reminding us he's just a little boy who wants to see his daddy. Francine's panic and immediate maternal protection reveals that beneath her complicated exterior, there is genuine love for her grandson. The tension was deliciously built, and I found myself unable to stop grinning at Adie's unshakeable confidence. This chapter gets a well-deserved rating from me!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 4.9 / 5 Stars

**Next Chapter Prediction:**

Oh, what delicious drama awaits us! I predict Francine will finally bring Adie to see Stefan, and the reunion between father and son will be incredibly emotional. But knowing this story's penchant for complications, I suspect that Renee's absence will weigh heavy on the scene. Will Stefan ask about her? Will Adie's innocent words about his mother make Stefan realize the depth of what he might be losing? And just when things seem to settle, I wouldn't be surprised if someone else shows up, perhaps an unexpected visitor with ulterior motives, turning this hospital room into a stage for the next dramatic confrontation!
