# Chapter 91: A Clash in the Corridors of Power

Hello everyone, it's me again! How are you all doing? Today I will continue to walk with you and review Chapter 91 of "The Untouchable Ex Wife" — a chapter filled with lingering emotions, bitter farewells, jealous confrontations, and secrets that refuse to stay buried. So, settle in, because this journey through Beach City is far from over.

Renee had just walked out of the president's office with a strange mixture of relief and sorrow swirling inside her heart. Her conversation with Stefan was finished now, and although he had always been a puzzle wrapped in coldness and mystery, she knew — deep down — that the man wasn't as aloof and cruel as he made himself out to be. Under all that ice, there was still something human, something vulnerable that he simply refused to show anyone. And that understanding weighed heavily on her.

She didn't have much time to accomplish that difficult mission ahead of her, but at least she could take comfort in one certainty: Stefan wouldn't lay a finger on Quinton for the time being. That thought gave her a sliver of peace. She could leave Beach City with a lighter heart, knowing that the man she once loved wouldn't be hunting down the person she now had to protect.

With her mind made up, Renee stepped into the long corridor. And immediately, she found herself surrounded by a sea of familiar faces — countless employees had gathered outside the president's office, as if they had been waiting for this very moment.

"Hi, Mrs. Hunt!"

The greeting came from several senior employees who waved at her frantically, their eyes sparkling with delight. They looked less like corporate workers and more like adoring fans meeting their idol for the very first time. Their excitement was infectious, their smiles genuine and warm.

Renee felt her cheeks grow warm with embarrassment. She gave a polite nod and then, as gently as possible, corrected them, "Um... hi. But please don't address me as Mrs. Hunt anymore. I've divorced your president."

Just saying those words out loud made her feel a bitter sting inside. Every time she thought about it, annoyance bubbled up all over again. She had divorced the same man *twice* — a fact so ridiculous it almost sounded like a cruel joke. The second divorce had been entirely thanks to Quinton. Renee remembered it with a heavy heart: it was just like when Stefan had pretended to be Mr. Q and married her. She had been dumbfounded throughout the entire process, even though she was the one walking down the aisle. At that time Quinton had manipulated everything from the shadows, forcing Stefan — who was blind and held hostage in Carmine Pawnshop — to sign a divorce agreement. And just like that, she had dissolved her marriage to Stefan Huntsman for the second time. No celebration, no relief, just confusion and a strange sorrow she couldn't quite name.

But the employees didn't seem interested in her corrections at all.

"It doesn't matter, you'll always be Mrs. Hunt to us!" one senior employee insisted, her voice full of admiration. "Please come and see us more often, Renee."

They had witnessed Mr. and Mrs. Hunt's entire love story from the very beginning — the love-hate relationship so intense and tumultuous that watching them felt like sitting through a dramatic soap opera. They had seen the highs and lows, the passion and the pain. For these witnesses, Renee would forever be their Mrs. Hunt, regardless of what any piece of paper said.

"Yes, we're your family! Please come and see us more often..."

The other senior employees echoed enthusiastically, their warm voices filling the corridor and lifting Renee's spirits for just a moment. But that warmth was short-lived.

The sharp sound of heels clacking against the floor cut through the air like a blade. Instantly, the atmosphere changed. The employees fell silent, lowering their heads quickly as a wave of trepidation washed over them. The joyful energy vanished in the blink of an eye, replaced by a thick, suffocating tension.

"Well, with all this fuss happening, I thought a VIP was visiting H Group. I didn't expect that it was you... Miss Everheart."

The voice dripped with venom disguised as sweetness. Seraphina emerged from the end of the corridor, swinging an exclusive branded bag with theatrical elegance. Her smile was graceful, but her eyes were anything but. They were full of envy, hatred, and barely concealed fury.

"Miss Murphy." The employees greeted her with lowered voices, all traces of their earlier enthusiasm gone.

Seraphina smiled gracefully and waved at them, performing her role as the gracious future lady of the company. "I bought coffee and snacks for all of you. Thank you for your hard work."

"Thank you, Miss Murphy," they murmured in forced unison.

"You don't have to thank me — it's what I should do." Seraphina's smile widened, and a triumphant smirk crept across her lips. "And you don't have to call me Miss Murphy either. It's too formal. Just call me Mrs. Hunt..."

The employees exchanged glances — some rolled their eyes, others twitched their lips in barely suppressed contempt — before they shuffled back to their working spaces without acknowledging her request. "Okay, Miss Murphy. We'll get back to work."

The message was clear. To them, Renee was the only Mrs. Hunt. Seraphina could buy them coffee and snacks with her expensive money, but she could never buy their loyalty. She could play pretend all she wanted, but in their hearts, that title still belonged to the woman standing before her.

Seraphina clenched her fists furiously. Her knuckles turned white, and the veins in her neck pulsed with silent rage. But she couldn't lash out. She couldn't scream at them or demand respect — not in public. She had to maintain her image as an honorable, refined young lady at all costs. And so she swallowed her anger, letting it curdle in her stomach like poison.

Then, turning to Renee with a sickly sweet smile that did nothing to hide the ice in her gaze, Seraphina began her verbal assault.

"Miss Everheart, didn't we have a deal? You disappear from Stefan's world, and I'll be responsible for him for the rest of his life... But here you are, coming all the way to his company to meet him privately." She tilted her head, feigning disappointment. "You've lost your integrity."

Renee shrugged helplessly, refusing to be drawn into a petty war of words. "I'm sorry. Azure Group's business overlaps with H Group's, so it's inevitable that I'll bump into him from time to time. Don't worry, though..." She paused, and something in her voice grew distant and cold. "I'm just a stranger to him now. I won't affect your love affair."

"Hmph!" Seraphina's eyes narrowed dangerously. Her sweet smile wavered, cracking at the edges to reveal the savage jealousy underneath. "You won't affect my love affair?"

The challenge hung in the air like smoke, thick and suffocating. And Renee knew — she could feel it in her bones — that this conversation was far from over. Seraphina wasn't about to let her walk away so easily. Not when the woman's dignity had been trampled on by those very employees, and not when Renee still had some inexplicable hold on Stefan's heart.

But Renee was no longer the naive, fragile woman she once was. She had been broken too many times, betrayed too often, and pushed too far. She was done being everyone's pawn in a game she never agreed to play.

The stage was set for a confrontation that would shake the very foundations of their fragile peace.

**Reader's Impressions & Star Rating:**

Oh my goodness, this chapter gave me so many emotions! I absolutely loved seeing how the H Group employees rallied around Renee — it was so sweet to see their loyalty and warmth toward her. The way they refused to call Seraphina "Mrs. Hunt" was incredibly satisfying! It really touched my heart to see that Renee has touched these people's lives so deeply that they still see her as family even after everything that happened. However, the confrontation with Seraphina was tense and infuriating in the best way possible — this woman really has no shame, acting as if she's entitled to Stefan when the entire company clearly rejects her. Renee handled herself with grace and dignity, showing how much she has grown as a character. This chapter was full of subtle character development and setting up an even bigger clash to come. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 4.8 / 5 Stars.

**Next Chapter Prediction:**

From the tension building at the end of this chapter, I predict that Seraphina's confrontation with Renee will escalate dramatically. Seraphina, pushed over the edge by her jealousy and the humiliation she just endured, might reveal something crucial about the circumstances surrounding Stefan and Renee's divorce — perhaps secrets involving Quinton's manipulations or truths that could reopen old wounds. Additionally, I wouldn't be surprised if Stefan, witnessing this confrontation, finally decides to step in and choose a side once and for all. Alliances will shift, secrets will be exposed, and the romantic webs that bind these characters together are about to become even more tangled!
