As much as Remy tried to hold back his tears, he only ended up sobbing harder. "Dad, I'm sorry... I lost my memories, and I forgot about you, Mom, and my siblings. I even..."

He even found himself teetering on the edge of killing his loved ones-the very people who shared his blood.

He choked, unable to put his regrets into words.

Winston exhaled softly. "What's there to be ashamed of just because you lost your memories? Look at me—I've lost mine too. I've forgotten all of you, my children!"

Though he spoke lightly, his eyes reddened. "But whatever happened is in the past. The most important thing is that you've come back. All that matters is that you're home.

"Neil, get me a pen."

Though puzzled, Neil handed him one without hesitation.

"Lyse, here."

Winston passed the pen to Alyssa and rolled up his sleeve, exposing his forearm. "Write all your names here. If I look at them every day, I'll remember eventually.

"It's fine if I've lost my memories. As long as we're still a family, everything will come back to me one day."

Alyssa lowered her head, tears dripping onto Winston's arm. She picked up the pen and carefully wrote her name, shaping each letter with care.

"Damien, here," she said, passing the pen to Remy.

Remy took it with a slight tremor in his hand. He lowered the tip to Winston's arm and slowly wrote the name buried deep in his heart—a name both intimate and strangely unfamiliar-Damien Taylor.

In the early hours of the morning, an underground gambling den in the western suburbs was packed with people crowding around gambling tables. The air was trick with

alcohol, cigarette smoke, and sweat, making it hard to breathe

A middle-aged man sat at one of the tables, eyes gleaming as he shouted, "Stay low! Stay low!"

Suddenly, someone tapped his shoulder.

"Who is it?"

He turned back irritably, a cigarette dangling from his lips—only to see a neatly dressed man in a suit.

The man looked completely out of place in the grimy den.

"Gustav Holm?" Eden asked.

Gustav stiffened as alarm bells rang in his head. He scrutinized the stranger before him.

Back then, five kidnappers had been involved in the incident. Four had

been executed, and Kenneth

Holm- his younger brother-had.

taken the fall for him and been sentenced to death.

Gustav was the only one who had escaped, living as a drifter while

keeping his identity hiddene

Duttons still hunting him, he hadn't dared teturn to Solana Sity Content.

Now that he finally had, he couldn't believe someone had recognized him so easily.

Of course he panicked.

Eden smiled. "Mr. Beckett is waiting for you outside. He'd like to see you."

"Mr. Beck-"

Gustav immediately knew who it was. He let out a scoff and flicked his cigarette to the ground.

A glint of greed flashed in his eyes. "Well, well. Talk about perfect timing. I've been wanting to meet Mr. Beckett too-my old friend."
