## The Shadow of Doubt
It began with a quiet argument, heavy with worry.
"Keep watching," Abril urged, her voice steady, though her heart was not. She believed with everything she had that the woman they had seen was real, and more importantly, still alive.
But the other did not share her conviction. "Maybe she pretended to be someone else. You know how cunning humans can be. Better to assume she is in Hades."
"If you don't believe me, that's fine," Abril replied softly. "But I am not lying. It was her."
Hans knelt before them, desperate, his voice cracking. "Please, the woman I love is in danger. I beseech you, save her."
The man beside him sighed. Hans had given his heart to someone he shouldn't have, and from the beginning, their relationship was destined for failure. Still, pity softened his voice. "Get up, Hans. There is something you can do, but I can't promise you anything. Don't let this war consume you. Our priority is to protect our world from darkness."
"Yes, sir."
A small kindness, but not a promise.

## A Friendship Torn Apart
Elsewhere, Abril was training Lissana in the art of the daggers when she noticed Tarik lingering at a distance. "Tarik is watching. Do you want to greet him?"
Lissana shook her head, pretending not to care. "He must be very busy."
"I think you should talk to him," Abril advised gently. "If you don't, you'll end up regretting it."
At last, Lissana approached him. They walked through the garden, the silence heavy between them. Tarik asked how she had been; she answered in short, cold words. Finally, Tarik could bear it no longer.
"Have I done something wrong?"
"You are my best friend," Tarik admitted, his affection clear. But those words stung Lissana more than any insult.
"You say dear friend, but you're never here for me. How can I call you my best friend when you treat me like a child?" A tear slipped down her cheek.
Tarik reached out and wiped it away, his own heart breaking. "No, it breaks my heart to see your tears."
But Lissana pulled back. "If that's the case, you cannot continue being my best friend." She walked away, disappearing into the palace.
Tarik was left in the garden, wounded and confused. Deep down, he knew she was right. He had hidden behind distance, afraid of the feelings growing inside him. In his solitude, he walked to the lake and sat by its edge, a boy lost in a world of adults, not yet a man but no longer a child.
"Fifteen years," he whispered to himself. "Am I truly ready?"

## The Gift of the Human World
Fay was determined to make things right. She entered the queen's workshop and made a bold request: to take Tarik to the human kingdom as his birthday gift.
The queen refused at first. "No."
But Fay was relentless. "I believe he should see what the human world is like. This will help him make a better decision, don't you?"
The queen hesitated. She wanted to protect Tarik, but she also knew the young fairy needed to grow.
Fay stepped out and found Tarik. "Prepare everything. We're leaving tomorrow."
Tarik's eyes widened. "Has the queen agreed?"
"Yes. I have spoken to her."
Before leaving, Tarik went to say goodbye to Lissana. She almost fell into the water when she saw him, but he caught her gently. "Did I scare you? I wanted to see you before I leave."
"Where are you going?" she asked.
"To the human kingdom."
"What?" Her voice shook.
Tarik smiled. "When I return, our age difference won't be a problem." He took her hand. "I want to go to the human kingdom so we can return to being friends without complications. But I know you want more than that."
Her heart was uncertain, but she held his hand tightly. "I promise I won't ignore you again."
They embraced, laughing softly, savoring a moment of fragile hope.

## The Birth of Dragons
But in the shadows, a darker plot was unfolding.
Cira led Liona deep into a cave. At its end, she caressed three large stones with reverence.
"Those are our distraction," she said, her voice gleaming with malice.
"They look like rocks," Liona said.
"They're not. They're dragon eggs."
"But dragons are extinct!"
"They are not. And they are hatching."
Cira placed the eggs in a circle, poured her magic into them, and soon the shells cracked. Black magic twisted into the newborn dragons, making them grow at a terrifying speed. Within moments, they rose as monstrous beasts, obedient to Cira's will.
"Now," Cira commanded, climbing onto one of them, "let's go to Cosset."

## The Fallen King
Their arrival was pure chaos. Three dragons descended upon the royal capital, tearing at the sky with chilling shrieks. The barrier around the city buckled as the beasts struck the same point again and again.
Alessandro rushed to the balcony. Seeing the dragons, he leaped, using his wind magic to rise into the air. He sent his guards to gather the cavalry.
Cira was there, standing on a dragon, a cruel smile on her lips.
He confronted her. "What do you want? Why are you attacking my kingdom?"
But she only conjured swords of black magic. "I expect nothing less from you, guardian."
The battle was desperate. Alessandro fought fiercely, but Cira was relentless, faster, stronger. She toyed with him, driving him toward exhaustion. "You are good, but you are not as skilled as my father."
He refused to yield. But the longer they fought, the more clear it became: she wasn't trying to kill him. She was trying to break him.
Finally, a dark force slammed him into a wall. He fell, dazed.
Just as Cira lifted her sword to finish him, a flash of light streaked across the sky.
A dagger sliced through the air, cutting Cira's arm.
"Let go of my husband!"
Abril had arrived.

## A Mother's Return
Abril had stepped through the portal from the fairy kingdom and immediately felt the wrongness in the air. Dark power loomed over the palace. Then she saw the dragons. And worse—she saw Alessandro fall.
"No!" she screamed, frozen in fear.
But she forced herself to move, and Tarik was beside her. With the help of a white horse, they soared into the sky toward the battlefield.
When Abril landed, Cira was poised over Alessandro. Abril hurled her dagger, cutting Cira's arm, and Cira turned, rage igniting in her eyes. "It's time for you to die."
"Cira, don't succumb to the darkness within you. It's not too late to save yourself," Abril pleaded.
"You're wrong. This body is mine now."
Tarik saw his chance. With a swift kick, he knocked Cira away from Alessandro, freeing him. Abril rushed to her husband and channeled her light magic into his wounds.
But even as she healed his body, she did not yet know that something far deeper had been stolen.

## The Battle Continues
Meanwhile, Kiara and Barto fought against the third dragon and its rider, Liona. Barto, half-fairy and fierce, struck at the beast, but Liona was no ordinary human. She fought with dark magic and cruel joy, laughing as she knocked him to the ground.
"You will become my slave, my beautiful servant."
But Barto was quick. He plunged a dagger into her abdomen. Yet Liona barely flinched. "How dare you! Do you think you can leave a scar on my body?"
"You're not a man," Kiara called out, appearing with a bow of light. "You're treating your future nanny poorly."
"Your future lover!" Liona shot back.
Kiara fired an arrow of light, striking Liona. The dark woman staggered, realizing she was outmatched. Calling one of the dragons, she fled, leaving chaos behind.
Healing the entire city fell on Abril and Kiara. Together, they summoned an immense light that washed over the capital, mending wounds and saving the dying. The effort left them drained, collapsing in exhaustion.
"Thank you for everything, Barto," Abril breathed.
"There is nothing that pleases a city more," he replied.

## The Man Who Forgot
Abril went straight to Alessandro. She sat beside his bed, her heart pounding. "Wake up soon, Lessan. I'm here."
When at last his eyes opened, relief flooded through her. "Thank God you're awake. I was so afraid you wouldn't wake up."
But something was wrong. His eyes were cold, confused.
"What's wrong with you?" he demanded, swatting away her hands. "Why do you act so informally with me?"
"Alessandro, you're scaring me."
He touched his head, a sharp pain striking him. "As if you've forgotten something important."
"I'm very important," she said softly.
"Get out of my room!"
"Don't leave me!"
"I don't understand how you got in here!" he shouted. The guards rushed in, but when Alessandro pointed at Abril, they exchanged confused glances.
"What woman do you refer to, Your Majesty?"
A chill ran down Abril's spine. "Can't you see her?" she whispered, fear creeping into her voice.
He couldn't. Not her. Not his own wife.
Then Kiara came, and even with her magic, she could not unlock what Cira had taken. Alessandro remembered everyone—his brother, his soldiers, the guardians. He remembered Hades and Maya. But Abril? And Lissana?
"Who is Lissana?" he asked.
"Lissana is our daughter," Abril said, broken.
"Now a wife? Now a daughter? I don't recognize any of this!"
Abril refused to surrender. "I loved him; I still love him. And somehow, I will find a way to bring him back."
Cassian stood by her side. "We are guardians. Our ancestors must have found a way to recover his memories. We will find it, Abril. We will bring my brother back."
And so, with hope barely flickering in the dark, they set out to recover what had been stolen—knowing that Cira had only begun her terrible game.

## Reader's Impressions & Star Rating
This chapter was an emotional hurricane. From the heartbreak of Lissana and Tarik to the terrifying dragon assault, from the fierce battle to the devastating moment when Alessandro looked at Abril as though she were a stranger—I felt every ounce of pain. Cira is one of the most chilling villains we've seen, and this memory theft is a stroke of cruel genius. The story now stands on a heartbreaking cliffhanger that makes me desperate for more.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 4.8 / 5 Stars

## Next Chapter Prediction
I believe the next chapter will follow Cassian and Abril deep into the guardians' hidden archive, searching for an ancient way to restore stolen memories. At the same time, Cira will not rest—now that she has dragons under her command and the upper hand, she may target Lissana next, forcing Abril to choose between saving her husband and protecting her daughter. I predict a painful sacrifice is coming.
