"I will."
April opened the door. Enzo was seated on a couch, stirring a cup of tea with infuriating calm. He didn't even bother to rise when she entered. April settled onto the couch across from him, her gaze steady.
"What do you want to talk to me about?"
Enzo set the teacup aside. "About our sister. And about the kingdom of Laios."
"That you want to talk about our sister, I understand. But about the kingdom of Laios... I have nothing to say."
"You are a princess of the kingdom of Laios."
"I was always a forgotten princess. I never had anything to do with the throne, and I was never interested."

"And what did you want to talk about our sister?"

"It seems too simple to me."

"No."
"Why?"

"You didn't want the power?"

April walked toward the door. Before she crossed the threshold, she glanced back.
"I hope what you said is true. I hope you aren't up to any tricks."
"You can rest easy. What I said is true."

"By the way. Duke Vampel is being controlled by the darkness. Kill him, or do whatever you want with him."
"Thanks for telling me."
