Hailey's expression darkened for a moment, but she quickly put on a worried look. "I don't know. I was following her, wanting to ask if the Lancaster family canceled their contract with us because of her. If so, I wanted to beg her, maybe..."
"It absolutely has nothing to do with her!" Marianne cut her off with a disgusted tone. "Who knows what man she latched onto to get into Obsidian Palace last time? Even if she did manage to hook some rich and powerful man, he'd just be toying with her. Why would he go so far as to get the Lancaster family involved for her sake?"
Her malicious speculation sounded nothing like it was coming from someone who had been Serena's mother for four years.
Instead, she spoke as if she were talking about an enemy.

The Wynn family sat in the main hall, their eyes glued to the entrance.
They stared so intently it seemed their eyes would pop out.
They waited and waited.
Suddenly, a large group entered, and the general manager of Le Céleste personally rushed forward to greet them respectfully.
Patrick's eyes lit up, and he shot to his feet. "It's Old Mr. Lancaster, Director Lancaster, and Mr. Lancaster!"
It really was the Lancaster family!
They had actually come to Le Céleste.
The hundreds of thousands of dollars were worth it!
Patrick quickly dragged Logan along and rushed toward the Lancasters, shouting Old Mr. Lancaster

The sudden commotion alerted the security guards at Le Céleste.
After all, the clientele here were all prominent figures, and such a scene was unheard of.
