"Yes," Old Mr. Blackwood said, leaning back in his chair, his worldly eyes glinting with shrewdness. "That girl is Brianna's savior."
Patton, who had followed Old Mr. Blackwood for decades and was known for his vast experience and unreadable expression, lost his composure for the first time in years. "Could it be... the miracle doctor at Starlight Royal Medical Center who saved Miss Blackwood and cured her heart condition... is Miss Lancaster?!"
Old Mr. Blackwood smiled and nodded.
Patton was stunned. "But... but I heard that before the Lancaster family brought her back... she grew up in the countryside..."
"So what if she grew up in the countryside? As long as she herself is exceptional, her brilliance can't be hidden, no matter where she grew up." The more Old Mr. Blackwood spoke, the more satisfied he looked. “Did you know that Nicholas... called me first thing this morning?"
Patton was surprised. "The Third Young Master called you on his own initiative?"
"Yes, it's rare for him to do something like that. It was all for that girl the Lancasters brought back. He said... he's bringing her to visit later and even told me to prepare a gift in advance." His smile deepened. "Patton, it seems... my dream of holding a great-grandchild is one step closer!"

Karen emerged looking flustered, her face pale and flushed.
Isabella, holding a delicate thermos, quickly stood up to greet her, her face full of anticipation. “Karen, how is Old Mr. Blackwood? Can I go in now?"
Karen's expression was grim.
Isabella's heart sank. “Karen, what's wrong? Is Grandfather... still not awake?"
Karen had her pride to consider; she certainly couldn't admit she had just been "asked" to leave the study.
She kept a straight face, hiding her embarrassment. “Grandfather isn't feeling well. He just took his
medicine and is a bit tired. He's not
seeing anyone today We shotg home for now."
With that, she reached out to pull Isabella away.
Isabella was instantly disappointed. She looked down at the thermos in her hand. "Then... what about this soup...?"
