Without a word, Nicholas handed her the canvas tote bag he had slung over his shoulder.
The gesture was entirely natural.
Serena took it, opened the bag, and pulled out a small, plain porcelain vial.
"Mr. Blackwood," she said, offering the vial to him. "A small gift for my first visit."
"These are pills I prepared myself. One a day with warm water will help strengthen your body and improve your health."
Her voice was calm and steady, very pleasant to hear.
Old Mr. Blackwood's eyes instantly lit up, and he accepted the small vial with delight: "Oh my! Not only can you treat hesses but you can also prepare medione? Serena, you're quite talented! This is wonderful stuff. I love it. It's better than any gold or jewels. You're very thoughtful, Serena. Thank you."
Serena smiled. "I'm glad you like it, Mr. Blackwood. Later, I can also prepare a more suitable custom formula for you based on your condition."
Old Mr. Blackwood's eyes shone. He nodded repeatedly, then carefully uncorked the vial with a sense of wonder and leaned in to smell it.

"Karen?" Old Mr. Blackwood frowned at her. "Why are you still here?"
"If I weren't here, Grandfather, you would have been tricked by this woman!" Karen shot Serena a look of disgust. "She's a girl from the country. What does she know besides cutting grass and tilling fields?"
"Grandfather, you can't be so

medicine from just anyone! Look at Isabella. She personally brewed a restorative soup for you, using the EverVita Essence she went to great lengths to acquire, winningue at auction for an astronomical price!"
As Karen spoke, she pushed Isabella in front of Old Mr. Blackwood. "That EverVita Essence was developed by the Ghost Doctor himself. It's incredibly nourishing! It's much better than some unlabeled junk from a country girl!"
She deliberately emphasized the auction and the "Ghost Doctor" to highlight how precious and extraordinary the soup was.
