As she walked up to Serena.
The woman suddenly took a step forward, hooked an arm around Serena's neck, and pulled her into a headlock. "Besides, I'm here to settle a score with you. You think you can just send me away? You heartless little thing."
As she spoke, she tightened her grip on Serena's neck. "You disappear for four years, and only now do you remember us in the Gray Zone, remember the Ghost Alliance? You think it's some kind of hotel you can just come and go from as you please?"
Serena leaned her head to the side, following the pressure.
Even though she was in a headlock, her eyes were filled with a smile.
Looking at that extremely familiar, gorgeous face, Serena's lips curved. "Then what do you want? Maybe I just won't go back to the Gray Zone and retire for good?"
"In your dreams!" the woman said, deliberately tightening her grip and scolding playfully, "Demon, do you have any conscience at all? Four years! Do you have any idea what we've been through? You neglect your own Ghost Alliance and still want to boss us around?"
Serena's smile deepened. "I know, I know, Black Jack. I was wrong. I made you worry. It won't... happen again."
The two of them were laughing and teasing each other.
Meanwhile, Nicholas, who had immediately brought men over after Serena went to the garage alone, became even more anxious when her comms went dead.
Although he trusted Serena's abilities and knew she wouldn't do anything she wasn't sure of.
He still couldn't help but worry.
The moment he rushed into the garage, he saw a woman in red with her arm locked around Serena's neck.
His pupils contracted, and his stunning, charming eyes were instantly coated in frost. "Let her go!"
The man's cold, handsome face was covered in a chilling aura, and the sharp presence he exuded seemed to make the temperature in the garage drop several degrees.
Black Jack and Serena, in the middle of their banter, were suddenly surrounded by a group of bodyguards.
Black Jack blinked, her gaze falling on Nicholas's face.
She stared for a few seconds.
Her eyes lit up, and she leaned close to Serena's ear. "Demon, is this the guy from that 'friend' story you made up? The one who's super nice to you, the one you owe a lot the one with the childhood engagement who's into you?"
Serena was speechless.
Did she have to remember it so clearly?
Of course, Black Jack knew back then that the "friend" she was talking about was Serena herself!
The tips of Serena's ears turned slightly red. "Let go!"
Black Jack looked like she had discovered something incredible, clucking her tongue twice.
Her eyes darted around mischievously.
Then she suddenly tightened her grip on Serena's neck, pulled a gleaming dagger from her waist with her other hand, and held it threateningly next to Serena's cold, exquisite face.
Nicholas's body tensed instantly, his eyes growing darker and colder.
Black Jack wasn't afraid. Her red lips curled as she let out a throaty, mischievous laugh at Nicholas "Well, well, looks like we have a white knight Are you worried about her, handsome?"
Even her strange laugh was full of charm. "Letting her go isn't out of the question, you know."
As she spoke, she gently tapped Serena's face with the dagger.
At that motion.
Nicholas's expression grew colder and more serious. His gaze toward Black Jack was filled with suffocating pressure. "Let her go, and I can let you leave safely."
"Don't be so tense, handsome~" Black Jack said with a grin. "Why would want to leave? I've taken a liking to you How about you spend
one night with me? can satisfy
me, I'll let her go. What do you say?"
