Rex gripped his throbbing arm, his gaze somber as he stared in the direction the roaring motorcycle had vanished.
He stared unblinkingly for a long moment...
Then, suddenly, a low chuckle escaped his lips.
That sound sent a chill down the spines of the frantic bodyguards. They practically shrank into themselves. "Mr. Rex, we're sorry..."
"We'll go after them immediately!"
"No need." Rex's eyes turned icy as his mind drifted back to the silver-masked woman and those cool, unfazed eyes.
The final look she had given him before speeding off was detached and arrogant, like a deity looking down on the mortal realm.
It was dripping with provocation.
"Interesting..."
Rex ran his tongue over his dry lips, his eyes alight with dark amusement. "Look into this. Tear the city apart if you have to, but find that woman for me!"
That organizer's custom case couldn't be opened without his key and passcode. Even if they managed to find a top-tier hacker right away, it would take them quite a while to crack it.
He wanted to see exactly who this audacious woman was!
On the streets of the United Realmon States.
Rex's men locked down several surrounding blocks, utilizing every resource at their disposal to frantically hunt down that flashy red motorcycle.
Helicopters hovered low overhead, while drones zipped between the buildings, scanning every alleyway.
However, right after tearing out of the underground auction house, the fiery bike had swerved into a secluded alleyway and slipped inside an unassuming corner garage.
The moment they were inside.
Ghost Alliance operatives immediately moved in to stash the red motorcycle.
"Darling, that guy was seriously intense. Not bad looking, either. Why didn't you keep him around for some fun?" Black Jack tossed her tong hair excitedly, still riding the high of their recent heist.
It had been way too long since she'd felt this kind of rush.
Hanging out with her favorite Demon really was the only way to have a good time.
Serena shot her a glance as she peeled off her tactical suit. "I was afraid you'd end up killing him."
Black Jack let out a melodic giggle. "How could I? Even with that mask covering half his face, he was clearly a hunk. And you know I'm always tender with the handsome ones."
Serena changed back into a simple white tee and jeans, tugging on a baseball cap and slinging her canvas bag over her shoulder.
Her imposing aura instantly melted back into her usual lazy, relaxed demeanor.
"That guy is highly skilled. I doubt you'd be able to handle him."
Black Jack pursed her lips. "No matter how skilled he is, he's still no match for you."
Serena tossed the custom alloy case-which she had cracked in under ten minutes-over to Black Jack. "Send a message to the underground auction house in the rame of the Ghost Alliance bet them know that if they have the guts to auction off our core secrets for profit, they'd better have the strength to survive spending it."
Black Jack plucked the chip out and casually tossed the expensive alloy case to the side.
Hearing Serena's words.
Her eyes lit up instantly, and she threw Serena an enthusiastic thumbs up. "That's
my Demon! Nobody plays the double-cross game better than you!"
No wonder Demon had bid against that man at the auction.
She had deliberately driven the price straight up to a billion dollars.
Her plan all along had been to keep the merchandise and steal the cash, too.
While the Ghost Alliance's reputation on the streets had waned over the years.
Their methods remained as domineering and ruthless as ever. With the Ghost Alliance stepping forward.
The faction behind the underground auction would be forced to hand over the billion dollars on a silver
platter just to avoid trouble, plus a hefty fee for their emotional distress and operational costs!
