She lifted her gaze, focusing on the track in the distance.
It was a professional, F1-grade racing circuit.
A few cars were currently tearing down the asphalt.
Listening to the roaring engines vibrating through the air.
A slow smirk spread across Serena's lips.
By the time Anna and Isabella finally arrived in their car.
The scene they had pictured-Serena showing up only to be cornered, mocked, and terrified by their friends was nowhere to be found.
Instead, Serena was standing at the absolute center of attention, surrounded by admirers.
Both of their expressions froze.
"What the hell is going on?!"
Anna's face contorted with vicious jealousy.
This was her turf!
She had orchestrated this entire night to turn Serena into a joke and make her pay for her arrogance!
And besides...
She was always the one at the center of attention in this crowd!
She stormed over, her teeth gritted as she yelled, "Why are you all crowding around her?! She's just some broke relative from the country! She wouldn't even be able to get past the gates without me! She even stole my car to get here!"
Isabella quickly grabbed Anna's hand, feigning gentleness. "Anna, calm down. Serena... she just wants to fit in so badly. She's never had this much attention before, so it's natural for her to get a little carried away."
"Her? Fit in with us?! Is she even worthy?" Now that they had arrived, Anna was fed up and completely dropped the act.
She scanned the area and didn't spot Douglas.
She instantly assumed that Douglas had been terrified by Serena's driving and bailed halfway.
Emboldened, she threw all caution to the wind.
She stepped aside, revealing a group of heavily built punks behind her. Leading the pack was a guy with dyed green hair, Trevor.
"Anna, if this chick doesn't know the
rules, the boys and I will be happy to teach her
"Trevor was Anna's loyal
lapdog, training after her since high school.

Seeing Anna fuming, the guys all turned their hostile glares on Serena.
Trevor flashed a grin full of yellow teeth. "Hey beautiful. If you're the new toy, you need to follow the rules."
"Our rule for newbies is... you gotta join the boys for a couple of drinks. If you keep us happy, and you keep Anna happy, then... you can stick around."
With that, he shot a look to the thugs behind him.
The thugs, used to doing whatever they wanted, immediately reached out to grab Serena with malicious grins...
Inside the pink supercar.
Douglas, who had been lazily propping his head up and watching the show, suddenly sat up straight.
His dark eyes narrowed, a sharp, icy glint flashing in their depths.
Just as his hand reached for the door handle to step out-
Wham!
A heavy thud echoed, followed immediately by the sickening crunch of bone snapping.
No one even saw how Serena moved.
The next thing they knew, the thugs were launched backward, crashing violently into a stack of old tires. They curled into tight balls, groaning in agony on the concrete, utterly unable to get back up.
The entire exchange took less than five seconds.
Meanwhile, the girl stood completely still, one hand tucked smoothly into her pocket. Her expression was perfectly calm, radiating an
apathetic indolence. She didn't ever bother to spare a glance at the men writhing on the ground.
"That's it?"
She chuckled, her tone both arrogant and freezing. "You want to teach me the
rules? You think you're worthy?"
