"Boss, our system has been breached!” a hacker panicked. "The attack is too aggressive, we can't block it!"
"Cut all external connections right now!" Fletcher growled, his expression darkening at the sea of red errors.
The hacker's voice trembled. "We... we can't disconnect..."
“Useless! What am I even paying you for?" Fletcher turned livid, rage twisting his features. "It has to be that bastard Rex. He must have hired outside help to play dirty!"
Even as he cursed, a strong sense of dread washed over him.
The method of this breach... it felt terrifyingly similar to that person from back then.
No! Impossible!
That person disappeared four years ago and was presumed dead!
Fletcher scowled, immediately pulling out a satellite phone and dialing Rex directly.
Outside Western warehouse.
Douglas stared at the laptop as a bold 'Breach Successful: 100%' flashed across the
screen.
He was utterly stunned.
He had just watched his niece tap a few keys, and suddenly the entire system of warehouse had crashed.
The speed...
It was terrifying!
Douglas felt a lingering fear. Thank God he had dropped the issue of the stolen chip the moment he realized Serena was his niece.
If he had made an enemy out of her...
The empire he had painstakingly built in the United Realmon States would have crumbled overnight!
He looked at the abandoned factory with complex emotions.
Originally, he thought he'd have to lead his men in a bloody firefight.
Now, he felt like he could stroll in there alone and not break a sweat.
Just then, his phone rang.
He glanced at the caller ID. It was a scrambled number, obviously from The Phantom Hornets.
His expression shifted, and he looked back at the factory.
"Answer it," Serena drawled lazily, a relaxed smirk on her face.
She showed absolutely zero tension over the imminent bloodbath.
Completely in awe of her, Douglas didn't say a word. He answered the call and put it on speaker.
Fletcher's furious voice immediately
blasted through. "Rex! You think you
can play games with me You
actually hired someone to hack my system!"
"I'm warning you, stop the attack right now, or I'll blow your dad's doctor's brains out!"
A gunshot echoed through the line.
"Ah!"
Mr. White let out a pained scream.
Douglas's gaze turned fierce, and he was just about to speak.
But Serena merely lifted her eyes and let out a low chuckle.
Her calm, cool voice wasn't loud, yet it carried an overwhelming, oppressive weight.
"Fletcher."
She spoke, using his alias. "It's been
years, and
you still can't keeDeen

temper in check content belongs
Douglas didn't know how to describe her tone.
It sounded lazy, almost careless.
But the absolute dominance it radiated left even him shaken.
Clearly, the man on the other end felt the exact same fear.
The line went dead silent.
A full ten seconds passed.
Finally, Fletcher's voice came
through, trembling uncontrollablyet pitched high with sbeer terror el Sontent:
Who... who are you...
Fletcher was literally shaking.
