Fletcher collapsed completely onto the floor.
His bloodshot eyes locked onto the tied-up Mr. White.
The Phantom Hornets were notorious psychos for a reason. Driven by pure terror and realizing begging wouldn't save him, the feral desperation of a cornered animal kicked in.
"Demon, don't push me!"
He gnashed his teeth, his voice filled with a manic rage. "You're not in the Gray Zone right now! And I have the Vinton patriarch's surgeon. I control the old man's life!"
"If this doctor dies, the old man dies too!"
"If you push me, I'll kill him! I'll take him down with me!"
“Oh?” Serena arched a brow. "Take him down with you?"
"Fletcher, you really have been away too long. You've forgotten that the Ghost Alliance isn't just known for sending people to hell. We also have... a Ghost Doctor who snatches them back from the Reaper."
Her tone dripped with mockery. "Who do you think you can kill while I'm around?" Heavy, despairing breaths sounded through the speaker.
How could he not despair?
The Ghost Doctor... the mythical healer who could bring people back from the brink of death.
Demon had actually brought the Ghost Doctor.
The surgeon he had kidnapped was completely worthless as leverage.
Useless.
With the Ghost Doctor involved, who needed Mr. White?
“Fletcher,” Serena smiled lazily. "You're out of time."
"Run fast. Hide in your little rat holes. Don't end up like last time... dropping to your knees and crying for mercy before you even make it a few blocks."
With that, she hung up.
She tossed the phone back to Douglas.
Douglas stood frozen, staring blankly at Serena.
He had just listened to her casually threaten the leader of a top-tier international crime syndicate.
A syndicate that even he found difficult to handle.
Yet, before his niece, these infamous psychos were reduced to cowering dogs.
"Let's go, Douglas." Serena looked up at the abandoned warehouse.
Her lips curved into a bloodthirsty smile. "Time to catch some rats.” Douglas opened his mouth, his throat incredibly dry.
He had always assumed his niece was skilled and well-connected.
But she was a max-level boss wiping out the tutorial zone!
The leader of the Ghost Alliance...
That title alone was enough to make the entire underworld of the United Realmon States tremble!
He thought he was the protective guardian stepping in to defend her.
He had insisted she call him for help.
In reality... he, the mighty Rex, was practically insignificant in front of his niece.
Twenty years old. Demon...
Hahahaha!
It was absurd, staggering, and impossible to believe...
And yet, it suited her perfectly!
Serena glanced at the time, her
bright eyes narrowing. "The hunt et
begins. I wonder if they've... hidden well enough
She yawned lazily. "By the time we wrap things up here, Black Jack will have already leveled their ma
base."
*Bang!*
A sudden gunshot echoed from inside the warehouse.
Douglas's expression hardened. He pulled a gun from his waistband, his gaze icy. "Serena, stay out here for backup. My men are in position! I'm going in This is my territory. If they dare pull this on my turf, they aren't leaving alive!"
