She looked at Silas in pure disbelief.
"I made it very clear to you from the beginning. Your mother manipulated me into having you. If my parents hadn't been soft-hearted and insisted on keeping you, do you really think you'd still be breathing?"
"And you—you're a fool. Your mother only ever wanted to use you as a bargaining chip for my money. She never loved me, and she never cared about you beyond what you could extract from this family."
"I gave you the best life possible, the absolute finest education. My parents gave you the affection you constantly demanded. And yet... your loyalty still belonged to that parasite of a mother."
Silas's voice was frigid. "You are exactly like her. Selfish, greedy, and rotten to the core. You're an ungrateful parasite."
The ugly truth had been violently laid bare.
Her final excuse had been reduced to a pathetic joke.
