Hello everyone, it's me again! How are you all doing? Today I will continue to walk with you and review Chapter 148 of "The Breaking Point of Love" – a chapter that burns with quiet tension, unspoken slights, and a love that stands firm even when the world tries to push it aside.

The afternoon sun had barely settled when Celeste returned home, only to have her phone ring with Matthias on the other end. She told him about Zachary’s request and why he had wanted to see her. Matthias listened carefully, then revealed something that made her pause: Theodore and Harold were names he knew well. And then came the real surprise – Jorge, the young man who had gone blind so early in life, was actually Theodore’s son. Matthias couldn’t help but let out a bitter sigh, marveling at how a father so impressive could have a son suffering such a cruel fate. Celeste, however, felt little connection to the revelation. It didn’t change her world. Not yet.
Tuesday arrived, and with it came the long-awaited initial test of Innova Tech’s self-driving car. Celeste and Matthias arrived early, stepping into the facility to find Jorge, Xavier, and the others already present. The glances they exchanged with Matthias and Celeste were brief, almost dismissive. Matthias didn’t bother returning the courtesy. He pulled Celeste forward, focusing only on the test preparations that lay ahead.
But something was off. Everything was set, yet the test hadn’t started. Matthias turned to Henry, the ever-present assistant, and asked bluntly why they were still waiting. Henry’s answer carried a weight that Matthias didn’t appreciate: Mr. Fleming himself was coming to observe, and they would only begin once he arrived. Matthias clenched his jaw but said nothing. Then, his curiosity piqued, he asked about Wynn Locket. Hadn’t she said she was coming to Innova Tech to refine her skills? Why had she vanished after just a few days?
Henry chuckled, a knowing smile on his face. “Oh, Ms. Locket wanted to improve herself, right? Well, Mr. Fleming said the fastest way to do that is to lead a team and work on a real project. Last week, he had one of the company’s shelved projects reorganized. Ms. Locket has gathered a team and is currently in a meeting upstairs.”
Matthias was stunned. He turned to Celeste, expecting some reaction, but she was absorbed in her notes, jotting down previous test results with an expression that betrayed nothing. No flicker of pain. No sign of jealousy. She simply didn’t care anymore. Matthias sighed, reached out, and ruffled her hair. She swatted his hand away with a quiet “Don’t mess with me.” Her voice was steady. He felt a wave of relief wash over him.
Then Trevor arrived, flanked by Beck and Miles. Both men froze when they saw Celeste, their eyes wide with shock. But Celeste remained expressionless, sparing them only a glance before looking away. Trevor, ever the polished gentleman, offered a polite greeting to everyone. Henry asked if they could begin. Trevor checked his watch and said they were still waiting for someone. Then he excused himself to head upstairs.
Celeste understood instantly. The person Trevor was waiting for was Wynn. They couldn’t start until Wynn finished her meeting and came down. Matthias realized it too, his jaw tightening as he barely held back a curse.
Soon enough, Trevor returned with Wynn. And trailing behind them was Linda, dressed in professional attire, her eyes gleaming with a mockery that couldn’t be hidden. Wynn had already told her about Celeste. Now, seeing Trevor’s wife reduced to waiting like any other subordinate, Linda couldn’t help but feel a surge of satisfaction.
Wynn politely apologized for the delay – but her eyes only met those of Jorge, his group, and Matthias. She never once looked at Celeste. The snub was deliberate, sharp as a blade. Celeste, however, remained impassive, indifferent even. She didn’t question why Linda was there in professional clothes. She simply looked away.
Jorge, oblivious to the tension, shrugged it off. “It was just a few minutes, it’s fine.” Matthias stood up, his voice cold and cutting. “How generous of you, Mr. Robinson. Now that everyone’s here, let’s not waste any more time. Let’s begin.” Trevor nodded politely, and Matthias grabbed Celeste’s hand, leading her out of the meeting room first. Trevor watched them go, his expression unreadable. But Beck couldn’t help glancing at Celeste a few more times.
At the test track, the staff treated Trevor and Wynn as the center of attention, deferring to Wynn as if she were the boss’s wife. Trevor ordered the test to begin. After a successful round, he and Wynn got into the same car to experience it firsthand. On the monitors, they could be seen laughing and talking, their gazes lingering on each other as if no one else existed. Celeste watched the screen without flinching. Matthias, however, looked thoroughly disgusted.
Miles wanted to try the car, but before he could ask Beck, Linda approached him. She started to speak, but Beck cut her off coldly: “You guys go ahead. I’m not interested.” Linda’s words died in her throat.
Henry turned to Matthias and Celeste, offering them a chance to test the car themselves. They knew the specs better than most of the Innova Tech staff. But after everything that had happened, the magic had soured. Matthias snorted. “No thanks.” Celeste, however, leaned in and whispered to him about the car’s engine specs, her tone playful. “Are you sure you don’t want to try it?” Matthias glared at her, surprised. “How do you know all this?” She touched her nose, grinning. “I happened to glance at the data they brought earlier.” A good memory was a dangerous weapon. Matthias’s mood lifted instantly. “Go back and replicate it with me.” “Alright,” she said, pulling him into the car.
Half an hour later, the test was complete. Trevor suggested a meal together. Jorge agreed. Matthias scoffed and flatly refused. “Sorry, we’re busy. Enjoy your meal. We have things to do.” Trevor graciously accepted, and Henry saw them out.
As they left, Xavier leaned close to Jorge. “Why do I get the feeling that Matthias really can’t stand Mr. Fleming and his people?” Jorge had noticed it the last time too. But back then, he thought maybe he was overthinking it.
Now, the truth was impossible to ignore.

**Reader's Impressions & Star Rating:**
This chapter is a masterclass in silent tension. Every glance, every word omitted, every deliberate snub speaks volumes. Wynn’s refusal to acknowledge Celeste, Linda’s smirking satisfaction, Trevor’s indifferent politeness – it all paints a picture of a social war where Celeste stands as the unshakable fortress. Matthias’s unwavering support, his protective gestures, and their shared moments of defiance make this chapter both painful and heartwarming. The self-driving car test becomes a metaphor for their relationship: smooth, precise, and moving forward despite obstacles.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating: 4.8 / 5 Stars
**Next Chapter Prediction:**
I predict the next chapter will explode with confrontation. Matthias won’t let Wynn’s snub slide for long. He’s likely to retaliate in a way that bruises Trevor’s ego, perhaps by sabotaging the next phase of the test or publicly challenging Wynn’s role at Innova Tech. Meanwhile, Linda’s presence hints at a brewing conspiracy – and Celeste might finally decide that silence is no longer a weapon, but a wound she refuses to carry. The breaking point is near.
