Chapter 1032:

As expected, Christina’s attention veered immediately. She hurriedly held onto him. “There’s no need to buy a new one. If you want to give me a supercar, just pick one from your garage when we get back.”

“Alright then, let’s go home,”.

Dylan replied, his eyes brightening as he tugged at her to leave.

“We’ll head to the hospital first, and then we’ll go home,”.

Christina said with patient firmness.

Dylan froze in place, refusing to move or answer.

“Be good. Let’s go to the hospital for a check-up.”.

Christina reached out, brushing her hand gently over his head.

“Okay.”.

Dylan nodded at once, though he struggled to hide the grin tugging at his lips.

Taking his chance, he laced his fingers through hers again, and together, they got into the car.

Only once the engine started did Christina allow herself a quiet sigh of relief. Thankfully, nothing too extravagant had caught her attention on the way. If she had so much as glanced at anything flashy, Dylan would have been ready to hand it to her without hesitation.

They arrived at the hospital soon after. A full round of tests revealed nothing out of the ordinary in Dylan’s condition.

Still uneasy about possible complications, Christina refused to let him leave the hospital; she insisted he stay for further observation. “We’ll remain here a little longer, and once everything checks out, we can go home,”.

she said softly, holding his hand and patting it with gentle reassurance.

“Alright,”.

Dylan agreed with a nod.

Later that night, Chloe asked, lifting her hand and pointing at herself, “Do you know who I am?”

Dylan shook his head. “No idea.”

“What about them?”.

Chloe shoved the Hubbard siblings toward him.

“I don’t know them either,”.

Dylan said with another shake of his head. Then, raising his hand, he clung tightly to Christina’s and leaned closer against her arm.

All the while, Dylan was sneaking glances at Elliott, carefully gauging his expression.

Elliott’s face had grown visibly tense, his eyes locked on them. It looked as if he wanted to intervene, yet didn’t know how.

Christina didn’t notice anything unusual, as she had unconsciously gotten used to Dylan’s constant habit of holding her hand.

“Oh no, oh no! My brother really doesn’t remember anything—and he seems a bit… retarded!”.

Chloe cried dramatically, lifting her face toward the ceiling.

“You’re the retarded one here!”.

Dylan shot back with a quick retort.

“See? His tone, his expression, his reaction… This is not Dylan,”.

Chloe declared. Then, as though struck by a sudden realization, she rushed to his bedside and jabbed a finger at him, her eyes blazing. “I don’t care what you are—get out of my brother’s body!”
