Chapter 1040:
But before Robin could make a move, Dylan had already placed himself in front of Christina, blocking Robin’s view.
Robin stomped his foot. This insufferable Dylan! How could he still be so maddening even after losing his memory?
Robin instantly wanted to take back his previous remarks that Dylan seemed less irritating now.
Watching Dylan—slightly taller than him—standing in his way and cutting off his line of sight, Robin felt a surge of uncontrollable irritation.
If not for Dylan’s desperate rescue of Christina before, Robin would have shoved him aside without a second thought.
“Chrissie, are you hungry?”.
Dylan asked naturally, slipping his hand into Christina’s, his voice soft and brimming with anticipation.
“Now that you mention it, I am a little hungry,”.
Christina replied, glancing at Chloe and Eloise, who were still dazed. “What would you like to eat? I’ll head to the market—it’s nearly time for dinner anyway.”
Chloe snapped back to her senses and said quickly, “I want lobster.”
“I’d like King crab,”.
Eloise whispered shyly, her voice barely above a murmur.
Robin cleared his throat. “Then I’ll have Beef Bourguignon.”
“I’m fine with anything. I’ll eat whatever’s around,”.
Elliott said in his usual calm tone.
“Alright then, I’ll go get the ingredients,”.
Christina announced.
“I’m coming with you, Chrissie.”.
Dylan tightened his hold on her hand.
Christina hesitated briefly but then gave in with a small nod. Ever since his injury, not only had his personality taken a complete turn, but he had also grown unshakably clingy.

“I’m going too!”.
Robin tried to tag along, but Chloe quickly held him back. “You’re not allowed.”.
Chloe stopped him firmly, determined to keep him from disturbing Dylan and Christina’s time together.
“Chloe, let go of me! Or I’ll hit you!”.
Robin threatened.
“Go on then. Hit me.”.
Chloe leaned her face forward and called out to Eloise, “Eloise, help me hold him down!”
Chloe knew Robin wouldn’t actually dare strike her, and that gave her the courage to act so boldly. Robin was all bark and little bite; unless truly provoked, he’d never lay a hand on a woman.
Eloise faltered, but under Chloe’s insistence, she gathered herself and stepped forward to help restrain him.
“You two…”.
Robin felt his frustration choke him, his voice trembling with annoyance as he gazed at Chloe and Eloise. “You’re in for it!”
“We’ll be waiting…”.
Chloe shot back with a sly smirk, her face free of even a flicker of fear.
Robin stood seething, struck dumb with rage. Unable to lay a finger on either of them, he could only glare daggers in their direction.
