“I’ll overlook it today only because you are my mother. But in the future, do not interfere in my matters.” Brendon’s tone was glacial, his face a mask of ice.
“Why are you still crying? Still pretending? You knew Brendon was awake, didn’t you? That’s why you staged the whole scene—kneeling, hitting yourself, playing the victim!” Joselyn snapped, pointing at Yolanda with venom in her eyes.
Brendon immediately moved to shield Yolanda with his body, glaring at his mother with cold protectiveness.
“Joselyn, that’s not true… Why are you accusing me like this? You’re the one who struck me without reason. You’re my family, so no matter how you treat me, I can’t complain. I don’t blame you. It’s me—I’m at fault,” Yolanda cried miserably.
