Chapter 1206:
The simple sight of that unguarded smile sent a surge of strength through Dylan.
The weariness of the day melted away the instant he saw her, replaced by a quiet joy he hadn’t known he was missing. Happiness spread through him like a warm light, settling deep in his chest.
“Didn’t you say you were taking Allison to Morfort Restaurant tonight? Everything’s already set. The manager will meet you and lead you upstairs,” Dylan said.
“Thank you, Dylan,” Christina replied with a sweet smile.
He was like a refreshing breeze in her life, restoring her whenever she felt weary. Each time she saw him, she felt her spirit lift.
Her worries and fatigue faded away, leaving her ready to face the world again.
“Order whatever you’d like. If anything isn’t to your taste, just let me know,” Dylan said warmly, his voice rich with affection.
“Alright, I will,” Christina answered.
They talked for a while longer before reluctantly ending the call. During the conversation, Davina sat nearby with a knowing smile, quietly approving yet saying nothing.
She rose and playfully massaged Christina’s shoulders.
“Honestly, I thought no man alive would ever be good enough for you. But watching how sweet you two are together, and seeing how much he cares for you… I suppose I can grudgingly allow him as your partner,” Davina teased.
Christina laughed. “Don’t tease me. We should be heading out.”
“Let’s go!” Davina exclaimed, her energy instantly revived at the thought of food.

To her, food was fuel, and they needed it now.
At Morfort Restaurant.
The manager and several staff members were already waiting at the entrance, having been informed that the boss’s girlfriend would be arriving with guests.
The sight of the elaborate preparations drew murmurs from the crowd nearby.
“What kind of guest is expected today to receive a welcome like this? The manager himself is greeting them!”
“They must be a VIP from Lorbridge. Otherwise, no one gets this kind of treatment.”
“Exactly. Even the richest here aren’t welcomed like this. I wonder who the honored guest could be.”
As speculation spread, a sleek luxury car pulled up.
Every eye turned toward it, eager to see who would step out.
