Chapter 1209:

“Careful, watch your head,” he murmured, his tone soft and indulgent.

The tenderness in his gesture, the quiet concern in his eyes, made warmth bloom within Christina’s heart.

She stepped out and, wearing a smile, threw herself into his arms. Her hands slipped around his neck, her laughter light and playful.

Dylan couldn’t resist her charm; he leaned forward and captured her lips in a gentle, loving kiss.

The faint trace of alcohol on her breath drifted up to him, making his head swim slightly in response.

“Don’t stop. I want more kisses,” Christina said, her voice drowsy with drink yet irresistibly sweet.

Her playful insistence made Dylan’s chest tighten with affection. He let out a soft chuckle and kissed her several times in succession, quick and tender.

When he finally paused, a tender smile curved his mouth. “Still want more?” he asked dotingly.

Her cheeks were tinged pink, and her half-dazed smile glowed beneath the soft lights.

To Dylan, she had always been lovely, but now, slightly drunk and unguarded, she seemed even more enchanting and cute. Before she could reply, he lowered his head and kissed her again, this time deeply.

Christina responded with equal fervor, her arms tightening around his neck as though she never wanted to let go. The longer their lips met, the deeper the pull between them grew, as if every breath only drew them closer.

Her intoxication stripped away her restraint, and the desire stirring inside her took hold beneath the heat of his touch. She leaned against him, her body clinging to his with longing, unable to stop herself from wanting more.

Just when she was about to surrender to that feeling completely, Dylan broke away.

Christina blinked at him, her gaze hazy and unfocused, silently pleading for him to continue.

The sight of her—slightly dazed, her lips parted and her eyes shimmering—nearly shattered his control.

He steadied himself and brushed her cheek softly with the pad of his thumb.

Their breaths mingled in the narrow space between them, warm and uneven.

Christina’s fingers trailed over his chest and slid down toward his firm stomach.

Before she could go lower, Dylan caught her hand and held it still.

He knew that real love demanded restraint.

He loved her too deeply to cross that line while she was in this state.
