Married at First Sight
Chapter 4661
“Who cares? If he can learn, then learn. If not, don’t worry. He’s still young.”
Camryn smiled. “It’s so hot, it must be nice to soak in the water, right?”
Cario said, “Very comfortable.”
“Just a little while, don’t soak too long. Indoors is not like outdoors, so be careful not to catch a cold. Honey, play with him for a few more minutes, then take him to change clothes. Don’t play in the water for too long.”
“Be careful if he catches a cold or gets scolded by your parents.”
The old couple loved their grandson.
“It’s okay. The child has a good constitution. Our children have been practicing martial arts since they were young, so they have better constitutions than ordinary children. It’s so hot, let them play in the water for a while. If you feel bored, go back and rest. I’ll take care of Cario.”
Rowan said considerately, wanting his son to play a little longer too. It was rare for everyone to be here, and the little brothers must be having a great time.
Even two-year-old Cookson refused to get up and wanted to play in the water, even bringing a water gun.
Seeing his younger brother had a water gun, Cario said to his mother, “Mom, go get me my water gun. My water gun is bigger than my younger brother’s, and I can shoot farther.”
Camryn said with a smile, “Don’t have a water fight here.”
She went to get her son’s water gun, and also got the other nephews’ water guns.
“Camryn, Jasmine, let’s go take a break and let them play here.”
Serenity felt sleepy, so she called her friends and sisters-in-law to go back to the hall together.
Belle fell asleep in the old lady’s arms. Serenity returned to the hall and saw that her daughter had fallen asleep. She hurried forward and whispered to her grandmother, “Grandma, Belle is asleep. Let me carry her upstairs.”
The old lady handed her great-granddaughter to Serenity and said softly, “Look at how small she is. If you hold her for too long, your arms will be sore. Grandma is getting old.” Serenity held her daughter in her arms. “Grandma was already quite impressive. How many people your age wouldn’t even hold a baby a few months old, fearing they couldn’t lift it?”
While the old lady had some common ailments, she was in relatively good shape compared to other elderly ladies.
Perhaps her martial arts background gave her a stronger physique than most.
“When Grandpa Farrell was alive, he was still holding my cousin’s baby in his nineties.”
Old Farrell lived a full century before passing away peacefully, having witnessed his patriarch’s well-being, with Miss Farrellying enjoying a prosperous life, surrounded by children and grandchildren, and the Farrel family ultimately returning to the patriarch’s descendants.
Having avenged his patriarch, and without a lingering regret, Old Fei faced death with equanimity. Thanks to his retirement in the merchant family, where his younger generations were by his side, he lived for two more years.
The old lady was now ninety years old, and everyone in the York family hoped she would live as long as Old Fei, at least a century, and even better still.
The old lady smiled and said, “Grandma can still hold a baby that is only a few months old. Serenity, why don’t you and Ayin have another baby? Maybe it will be a girl. Having only Belle as a daughter is still a little lacking.”
Serenity laughed: “Grandma, Camryn, Hayden Queen and the others are all here. Please let them have a second child. Zachary and I already have two children, which is enough. We have both a son and a daughter.”
Hayden Queen quickly said, “Grandma, I’m afraid that my second child will be twins again. That way I will have four sons, which will be too much. Let’s forget it.”
“Grandma, I’m going to go back and rest first.”
She ran away quickly.
Camryn said, “Grandma, in two years, Yichen and I will consider having a second child.”
Abby Du and Elora have no plans to have a second child for the time being. When they heard their grandmother urging them to have a second child, they felt the pressure of having a daughter and found an excuse to slip away.
