Married at First Sight

Chapter 4728

The housekeeper responded respectfully and quickly called the Third Master and his wife.

Serenity heard the old lady say that grandma was sick. While the old lady was entertaining Belle, she called her mother-in-law. When her mother-in-law answered the phone, she asked with concern, “Mom, is grandma okay?”

Tania York replied, “It’s an old problem. It’s insomnia. I didn’t sleep well and I have a headache.”

“Tell grandma not to think too much. The elderly are light sleepers. If you think too much, you will easily suffer from insomnia and can’t fall asleep.”

Poor sleep leads to headaches.

She is so young, and sometimes she gets headaches just because she didn’t sleep well.

“I told her, and she said she wasn’t worried about anything, she just couldn’t sleep. We called the family doctor to check on her. It’s nothing serious; she’s had insomnia for a long time.”

“Serenity, your grandma told you not to worry about her, she’s fine, and that you and Zachary York should bring the two children to see her when you’re free.”

Serenity said, “Mom, tell grandma that in a few days, when Zachary is less busy, we’ll take the two children to see her and make sure she has enough to eat, drink, and have fun.”

The old lady of the Tania family wasn’t as strong as the old lady of the York family. She was two years younger than the old lady, and she had trouble walking. She needed a wheelchair to get around, and she had two nannies to care for her.

Her hearing was also very poor, and she had to speak very loudly to hear her.

However, she was still very clear-headed, always thinking about her eldest grandson, Zachary, and looking forward to Zachary and his family of four visiting her.

Unfortunately, Zachary and his wife were busy with work, so they only visited once every ten days or half a month. Sometimes, when the old lady missed her children, Tania York and his wife would take their grandchildren back to her parents’ home to accompany Mrs. Tania.

The Tania family had no shortage of daughters, but Belle was still treated the best there. She was the York family’s darling, and Tania York’s only granddaughter. How could the Tania family dare to neglect her?

After making sure that Mrs. Tania was alright, Serenity hung up the phone.

“Grandma, I’ll take Belle to get something to eat first.”

With such a distinguished guest here, it would be difficult to leave later.

The old lady reluctantly handed her great-granddaughter to Serenity and said lovingly, “Take her to have breakfast. Her breakfast is still warming up in the kitchen.”

“Where are her brothers?”

Little Belle asked about her brothers.

Serenity took her to the dining room and said with a smile, “Your brothers and sisters have already gone out to play. After you finish your breakfast, Mommy will ask the nanny to take you to play with your brothers and sisters, okay?”

Belle nodded and responded in a baby voice, “Okay.”

In her eagerness to play with her brothers and sisters, Belle ate breakfast much faster than usual.

When Mrs. Lafond and her husband came in, little Belle had already eaten and drunk her fill.

Serenity carried her out of the dining room and happened to see Mrs. Lafond and her husband coming in with the housekeeper.

“Hello, Mr. Lafond and Mrs. Lafond,”

Serenity greeted politely.

Mrs. Lafond’s eyes lit up when she saw the mother and daughter, and a natural smile spread across her face. “You’re Serenity, right? I often hear Romina mention you. Is this Belle? Romina likes Belle so much.”

“Belle is so adorable.”

No wonder her daughter loved Belle so much. At home, she often praised River York’s little niece, for being adorable. Although only a little over a year old, she was incredibly smart. Hearing her sweet voice call her “Auntie” melted her heart. She

said that seeing Belle made her impulsively want a daughter.

Belle was a trick designed to trick people into having daughters.

Seeing her, Mrs. Lafond believed her daughter’s words. River York’s niece was truly adorable, fair and tender, with delicate features, especially those big, dark, bright eyes like black grapes.
