Married at First Sight
Chapter 4765
River York saw the toys and smiled, “You women are so thoughtful. You knew to prepare a gift for the child, too. I hadn’t thought of that.”
“Is Patriarch Lafond back?”
“Yes, he is. I’m a little embarrassed. I’ve been so presumptuous to come visit. I’m just happy to see Sister Susu. I didn’t expect her to call to let Brother Lafond know he’d be back.”
River York felt a little embarrassed for taking up Romina’s precious time.
Romina was much busier than he was.
“Your two families have some kind of relationship, so it’s natural for Patriarch Lan to come back and entertain you. Come on, take me in.”
Romina was now fully aware of the ties between the York family and the Annenburg Lafond family.
She was able to stay at the Lafond family manor for dinner tonight thanks to River York.
“Young Master, don’t run so fast. Slow down!”
a strange voice shouted.
The two of them instinctively stopped.
Following the source of the sound, I saw a little kid of about four or five years old running towards this side, running very fast. Behind him were two nannies, who could not run as fast as the kid and were left a long distance behind.
The two nannies had no choice but to run and shout, trying to get the little master to stop.
The kid ignored them and did not stop until he saw River York and Romina .
He was really handsome, a bit like Romina, but more like his mother Shues Lafond.
Shues Lafond was a stunning beauty, and her son looked like him. The little guy was naturally too handsome, the most handsome child Romina had ever seen.
Even Serenity’s son wasn’t as handsome as the little guy before him.
The little guy looked up at River York and Romina , then at the bags they were carrying. Seeing a few new toys, his expression didn’t even shift. River York thought this little guy had a steady temperament.
People with this kind of personality, even as children, tend to be more sensible and stable than their peers.
“Uncle, auntie, are you here to see my parents?”
the little guy asked crisply.
“Yes, we’re here to visit yours. What’s your name, little boy?”
River York bent down, trying to free a hand to touch the little guy’s head, but the little guy stepped back, defensively but politely saying, “I’m sorry, uncle, you’re a stranger to me. I don’t tell my name to strangers.”
“My last name is York, River York, the seventh young master of the York family in Wiltspoon. Have you heard of the York family in Wiltspoon?”
“Is it the York family from Wildridge Villa?”
the little guy’s eyes lit up.
River York nodded, “Yes, Wildridge Villa is my home, I live there. By the way, your aunt and uncle, cousins are living in my house now.”
“Are you really the uncle of the York family?”
asked the little guy. He looked River York up and down again and said, “Well, you look a bit like Uncle Zachary.”
He should really be the seventh uncle of the York family.
