Married at First Sight

Chapter 4888

“Romina , thank you so much for coming to pick us up.”

Romina smiled. “Auntie, it’s only right. River York didn’t tell me in advance, so I didn’t know my uncle and aunt were arriving this afternoon. If I had known, I would have made arrangements earlier.”

“Awei also notified us at the last minute, so we rushed over. It’s okay, Awei is here. I feel bad for taking up your time.”

“You’re so busy, and Awei still asked you to come? I just told him on the phone.”

Romina smiled. “I just told my brother. I can leave at any time. Auntie, I will definitely come to pick you up at the airport.”

“Auntie, did you bring so many things?”

The second wife replied. “Not many, not much. It’s a little far. If it were closer, I could bring more.”

“I prepared some gifts for you and your family.”

Romina said, “Auntie, you’re so polite. You’re here as long as you can. You don’t have to buy gifts. Don’t spend money in the future.”

“It’s no big deal.”

The future mother-in-law and daughter-in-law chatted happily.

Romina did not ignore Tania York and the third wife, and would talk to them from time to time.

River York’s father and his three brothers were quiet around the younger generation. Romina greeted the three elders and chatted briefly, then River York and his father and uncles walked and chatted.

“Auntie, why didn’t you bring Maverick and Belle here?”

Romina said to Tania York, “I missed them so much.”

“I wanted to bring them, but the old lady said they were almost done with summer vacation and needed to stay home to focus.”

“That way they wouldn’t have trouble adjusting to school.”

“When school starts, Maverick will be in first grade, so he’ll be an elementary student.”

Tania York’s eyes softened at the mention of her grandchildren.

They were her treasures. Then there’s York Chi, York Yuan and Ouyang Ya’s son, who’ll be attending kindergarten in September.

“Baby must be very bright,”

Tania York said. “His parents were both top students in school, so he and his sister shouldn’t be far behind. But it’s hard to say. So many parents with top academic scores have children who are poor students.”

Even so, Tania York was confident that her grandchildren wouldn’t be poor students.

Just look at their baby’s current intelligence.

By the time they started kindergarten, they knew a lot of words, were quick with numbers, and had a good memory. They’d also started practicing martial arts to strengthen their bodies, and had also begun studying the arts of music, chess, poetry, and painting. The York family’s children needed well-rounded development.

“Look at how smart Maverick and Belle are, they can’t be poor students. Is Belle talking a lot?”

Romina had recently gone to Wiltspoon with River York, staying at Wildridge Villa for a few days.

It hadn’t been long since they’d returned to Annenburg, but it felt like a long time had passed. She

wondered if that adorable little girl would be able to talk a lot again.

Whenever Beibei called her “Auntie” in her soft voice, Romina felt her heart melt.

“The child changes every day. Beibei can speak more now. She used to only be able to say two words, but now she can say longer sentences. But she’s getting more and more naughty. When she grows up a little, I’m afraid she’ll be able to get out of control.”

“Her grandmother dotes on her, and her mother always says that if everyone dotes on her like that, she’ll get spoiled.”

Serenity loves her child, but she doesn’t overindulge.

Now, she is the one who disciplines the children most normally in the family and doesn’t overindulge.

Even Zachary can’t bear to dote on his precious daughter, and he just pampers her blindly.

Tania York believes that his family tradition is good, and the child is still young, so a little pampering won’t spoil her, and his daughter-in-law is strict with the child’s discipline. As grandparents,

they don’t focus on education, they just love their children.

Education is the responsibility of their sons and daughters-in-law as parents.
