When Marry Lord came downstairs, she saw her aunt preparing breakfast in the kitchen. She even went in to greet her.
“Going for a morning run?”
the aunt asked, smiling. “You guys can really stick with it. I just can’t. I’m getting fatter and fatter.”
Marry Lord glanced at the aunt’s waist and said, “Aunen is just a little bit overweight. If you control your diet and exercise more, you can lose weight.”
“We’re used to morning runs, Auntie. I’ll go out for a half-hour run and then come back for breakfast.”
“Go ahead. I’ve just started preparing breakfast. It’s perfect for you when you get back from your run. Doctor Lord and the others just went out for their morning exercises, too.”
Marry Lord said as she walked out. “My second uncle and second aunt just went to the park for a couple of laps, square-danced with some people, and then came back. We’re not on the same path.”
She was just running, not square-dancing.
The aunt smiled.
That’s how old people’s exercise venues are.
While Marry Lord was out for her morning run, she unexpectedly ran into Alex York again.
“Marry, good morning.”
Marry Lord looked at him in sportswear as he walked out of Wansheng Garden and said to him, “Your house is still under renovation, how did you get out of Wansheng Garden?”
“Do you live here?”
