Married at First Sight

Chapter 4936

Of course, the nanny would go upstairs to check on Belle every few days and would not easily let Belle go downstairs by herself.

A few minutes later, the old lady heard a noise in the room; she heard Belle calling for her mother.

“Belle, are you awake? Mommy has gone to work, but Great-Grandma is here.”

Upon hearing the old lady’s voice, Belle quickly came out, and the old lady promptly opened the door for her great-granddaughter.

The little girl was still wearing her pajamas and was a bit dazed when she woke up. When she saw the old lady, she reached out her hands and asked the old lady to hold her.

The old lady picked her up, and she wrapped her arms around the old lady’s neck, softly calling out, “Great-Grandma.”

“Great-Grandma’s here. Belle, are you awake? Do you want to sleep a little longer?”

Belle rested her head on the old lady’s shoulder, showing great dependence on her.

The old lady liked this feeling of being relied upon.

The little girl shook her head.

She had a lot of fun last night. After her mother gave her a bath when she got home, she fell asleep without even drinking any milk powder.

I’ve been sleeping ever since.

Mom has gone to work.

“Then, would Great-Grandma help Belle change her clothes?”

“good.”

The little girl responded in a childish voice.

The old lady carried her into the adjacent children’s room, where Belle had a small bed and her usual clothes.

“Should our Belle wear a dress?”

“want.”

The old lady sat the little girl on the bed and went to get a beautiful princess dress for her great-granddaughter. “Does Belle like this dress that Great-Grandma got? I think Mom bought it, right?”

Belle has so many dresses, but the old lady’s memory isn’t what it used to be, and she can’t remember who bought them.

Not to mention her, even Serenity can’t remember them all; there are just too many.

The York family only has one daughter, Belle. Serenity’s friends all have sons. Everyone loves Belle and buys her dresses, sometimes several or even a dozen at a time.

Serenity bought so many that she couldn’t even remember who bought them.

She told everyone not to buy too many dresses for Belle. Children grow up quickly, and if you buy too many, many new clothes will become too small before they are even worn.

Belle had no idea who bought the dress.

However, since her great-grandmother said it was bought by her mother, then it must have been bought by her mother. She likes wearing the dresses her mother bought for her.

The old lady helped Belle change her clothes, washed her face, and then led Belle out of the room.

“Great-Grandma, I want to drink milk powder.”

Belle took a few steps and then refused to walk any further; she wanted to drink milk powder.

I didn’t get to drink last night.

The old lady smiled and said, “Doesn’t Belle want to eat porridge? Okay, GreatGrandma will make some formula for Belle.”

She turned around and walked back.

Serenity knew that the old lady wouldn’t easily enter her and Zachary’s room, but the old lady wanted to take care of Bei Bei herself, so she prepared everything Bei Bei needed and ate in the children’s room.

This makes it easier for the old lady to take care of Belle.

Steady footsteps could be heard outside.

“Grandma, is Belle awake?”

Alex York went upstairs.

Not seeing the old lady outside, Alex York found his way here with ease. When he entered the room, the old lady had just prepared the milk powder.

“Belle is awake.”

The old lady handed the baby bottle to her great-granddaughter and said to Alex York, “What time is it? Why aren’t you at work yet? Even if you’re a high-ranking official, you can’t be late or leave early.”

“Get to work quickly.”

Alex York said, “Since I’m already here, I should at least see my precious niece.”
