The old lady replied, “Your grandparents and great-uncle have all gone to Yangcheng. Your seventh uncle is getting married.”
“marry?”
The little girl looked up, puzzled, and asked, “Why?”
The old lady laughed, “Getting married is like bringing home a seventh aunt for you. Didn’t you want a seventh aunt?”
“Aunt Lafond, the Aunt Lafond you like so much, is your seventh aunt.”
The little girl didn’t understand any of this, and even though the old lady explained it patiently, she still couldn’t understand.
The old lady picked her up and said, “Belle, you don’t need to understand. Just know that there will be one more person in our family soon. Your grandparents will be back soon.”
“Do you miss your grandparents?”
Belle nodded. “Yes.”
“Shall we sit down in that pavilion and then call your grandma, okay?”
The little girl nodded again.
The two ancestors walked to the pavilion and sat down. The old lady’s phone rang first.
Serenity sent a voice message to the old lady, asking if her daughter had gotten up and eaten anything.
After replying to Serenity, the old lady also asked Belle to say a few words to her mother.
The little girl just kept calling out “Mommy” and saying she missed her mommy.
That’s all I’ll say.
It’s a big improvement compared to July, when I could only say two or three words.
While the old lady was taking a walk in the yard with her beloved greatgranddaughter, Land Joans woke up and felt like the sky had fallen. Flower Morgan didn’t get up before him; she did it on purpose.
After sending the photos and messages to Marry Lord, Flower Morgan waited for Marry Lord to come over, but Marry Lord did not come.
Marry Lord simply reminded her that if she used this method to cling to Land Joans, she wouldn’t be happy after marriage.
Land Joans would blame Flower Morgan for not being able to marry Marry Lord, and would then treat Flower Morgan badly.
But Flower Morgan did not heed Marry Lord’s advice.
She felt this was a rare opportunity, her best chance.
So even though Marry Lord didn’t come over, Flower Morgan didn’t get up. She wanted to wait for Land Joans to wake up so he would know that they had slept together last night.
Although they didn’t actually consummate their relationship, Land Joans kissed her, touched her, and they slept in the same bed for one night. He felt he had to take responsibility for her.
When Dr. Joans woke up and saw Flower Morgan lying next to her, she was so frightened that she lost all sleepiness and rolled onto the ground.
He pointed at Flower Morgan, who was slowly sitting up, and stammered, “Yue, Yue, Hua, you, how did you get into my bed?”
Flower Morgan blushed and said, “Dr. Joans, you brought me to your bed. Last night you mistook me for Dr. Lord and kissed, touched, hugged and cuddled me. We almost slept together.”
“I…I was drunk, I don’t remember what I did…”
“We…we didn’t do *that*, did we?”
Land Joans tried hard to recall what happened last night.
He only remembered going to a bar to drink and getting drunk.
The people at the bar called Flower Morgan and asked her to pick him up.
Flower Morgan arrived at the bar quickly. She offered to take him home, but he refused. He wanted Marry Lord to pick him up and asked Flower Morgan to call Marry Lord.
Marry Lord refused to go pick him up.
