Serenity saw them off at the hotel before turning back and going up to the top floor to rest briefly in the presidential suite where Zachary usually rested.
Zachary then drove the old lady and her daughter home.
After getting in the car, the two ancestors fell asleep.
The old lady held Belle in her arms, leaning against the car seat. Belle nestled in her arms, and the two slept soundly.
Zachary wanted to talk to his grandmother, but after a few words he didn’t get a response. He then looked in the rearview mirror and saw that the two of them were asleep.
“They must have been so tired that they fell asleep as soon as they got on the bus.”
Zachary was envious of his two ancestors’ sleep.
He doesn’t fall asleep as easily; every night when he lies in bed, he has to think about work before he can fall asleep.
Sometimes, thinking too much can actually cause insomnia.
Alex York escorted Marry Lord back to the Lord family clinic. He said to Marry Lord, “Marry, take a nap first. I’m going to check on the renovation of my house. I’ll wait for you at your door in half an hour.”
“good.”
“Do you want to take a rest too?”
“I’ll just take a nap in the car for about ten minutes. Then I’ll have a cup of coffee in the afternoon, and I’ll be full of energy.”
Marry Lord smiled, said nothing more, got out of the car, waved goodbye to him, and went into the clinic.
At noon, the clinic was quiet and there were no patients.
My second aunt should have gone upstairs by now. Only my second uncle was lying in that rocking chair, seemingly asleep, but he immediately opened his eyes when he heard footsteps.
Upon seeing that it was his niece who had returned, he sat up.
“Marry is back. I thought you went straight to the hospital.”
Marry Lord called her second uncle and aunt to tell them she wouldn’t be coming home for lunch, so they wouldn’t have to wait for her.
“It’s still early, I’ll come back for a lunch break and then go back to work. Did Second Aunt go to sleep?”
“Yes, I went upstairs. Where did Alex York invite you to eat? Why did he invite you to eat? It was for no reason at all.”
The second uncle’s words were an implication to his niece that Alex York had feelings for her.
Marry Lord didn’t think much of it and said, “Alex York accompanied his grandmother to our hospital for a physical examination and registered for my appointment. After the examination, when Grandma York ran into me getting off work, she insisted on inviting me to dinner.”
“I couldn’t refuse their hospitality, so I went. I even met Young Master York and his wife, as well as their precious daughter. No one outside has ever seen what the little girl looks like. She is truly beautiful and adorable, absolutely adorable.”
“She’s not shy at all. She wanted me to hold her the first time she saw me. I really want to take her home and raise her.”
Uncle Lord thought to himself: What a silly girl. They treat you like family, and you’re still acting like a fool.
The York family doesn’t treat Marry as family, so how could they let her see the true face of their precious darling?
The people of Wiltspoon knew that the eldest son of the York family had a daughter, but apart from those closely related to the York family, no one outside the family could see what the little princess looked like.

“Second Uncle, I think everyone’s evaluation of the York family is true. After having dinner with Grandma York and Sister Serenity, I believe everyone’s evaluation of the York family.”
