Married at First Sight

Chapter 4976

Mr. and Mrs. Joans both nodded.

“Think it over carefully. This is a major life event for you, and it’s linked to your happiness for the rest of your life.”

“Whether your wife treats us well in the future is secondary. After all, it’s your life together. Once you’re married, you’ll definitely stay in the city and only go back to your hometown occasionally.”

“Your father and I have been living in our hometown for a long time. We are too old to move around, and your siblings will take care of us, so we won’t be too much of a burden to you.”

“So, you’re mainly thinking about yourself.”

“When you can’t be in love with someone, choose the one who loves you the most, because she will treat you well and accept everything about you because she loves you.”

“Choose the one you love but she doesn’t love, and you’ll be the one who suffers and is wronged.”

Dr. Joans seemed to be deep in thought.

After washing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen, Flower Morgan took off her apron and came out.

“Flower Morgan, thank you for your hard work. You buy groceries, cook for us, and even wash the dishes.”

Joan’s mother beckoned Flower Morgan to sit down and rest, her face full of smiles.

Flower Morgan walked over, and Joan’s mother quietly patted her husband next to her, signaling him to move over so that Flower Morgan could sit next to her son.

“Uncle, Auntie, please have some fruit.”

Flower Morgan sat down naturally next to Dr. Joans, picked up a plate of fruit, and handed it to Dr. Joan’s parents.

She cut all the fruit into small pieces.

“Okay, let’s eat.”

Joan’s mother took the plate of fruit. “You should eat some too. You’ve been busy all day. Every time your uncle and I come over, you’re always running around doing chores. Your uncle and I feel so bad for you.”

“That’s what I’m supposed to do. I didn’t do anything special, just buy some groceries and cook. These are things I do every day.”

Even when her parents didn’t come over, she usually cooked for herself and rarely ordered takeout.

The more she cooked, the better her culinary skills became.

Dr. Joans grew to enjoy her cooking more and more.

Her mother had told her to practice her cooking skills diligently, to win over Dr. Joan’s stomach, and that she would eventually be able to win him over.

Flower Morgan not only took good care of Dr. Joan’s stomach, but also almost took good care of his parents’ stomachs.

“Uncle, Auntie, are you going out to play again this afternoon?”

Flower Morgan picked up another plate of fruit, used a disposable fork to pick up a piece of fruit, handed it to Land Joans, and then ate it herself.

Mr. and Mrs. Joans were very satisfied with this scene.

This girl is completely devoted to her son, A-Jian. She is incredibly considerate towards him. Although her family isn’t well-off, she sends almost all of her salary home to them.

In their hometown, most of the money that girls earn before marriage is given back to their families as a way of repaying their parents for raising them.

So their acceptance of Flower Morgan handing over her salary to her family now can be described as a form of sycophancy.

If a woman still thinks about her parents’ family all the time after marriage, takes everything from them, and continues to give her salary to them, then she is truly a wicked woman.

Flower Morgan had told them that she wouldn’t do that after she got married. Once she was married and had her own little family, she would prioritize her own family and only help her family if her own living conditions were good.

If she herself is just getting by, how can she have the ability and extra money to help her family?

It’s good enough that she doesn’t go back to live off her parents, brothers, and sisters-in-law.

“Let’s not go out this afternoon. My feet are killing me. Let’s just stay home and rest for half a day.”

Joan’s mother patted her legs, “When you get old, your legs aren’t what they used to be. Walking for most of the day gets you exhausted. Growing vegetables and tending the fields at home doesn’t even tire me out this much.”
